The auction is for one historic, original vintage survivor 1962 ford TAUNUS 12 M (not Taurus...) station wagon with two (2) doors. The car was found in a California, storage lot with the correct original black tag plates, then brought to Arizona to restore, but things in life have changed....

This is car was German produced ford, and those knowing the Taunus models know it was not imported to the US. The story can be shared to the buyer....

As seen in the photos, this car is in need of restoration or drive as is, with a little work. The fuel pump and carb were removed, keeping them clean, and gas tank is open ready for new fuel... of course as with all older cars, brakes need updating, some hoses, tires, battery etc to making it street safe, so for the purpose of this auction it is being sold AS IS and not street safe without a complete review, and repair of needed components.

Currently the car will not drive, without, fuel items, battery, tires etc it did run, before all the parts were removed.

Overall condition

• Engine, P4 12M, 4 cylinder V4, we are told similar to the engine used in Saab 4v models
• Transmission, 4 speed column shifting, clutch works, goes through gears
• Mechanical, Front brakes DISK, rear drum, rolls freely, all components present.
• Manuals documentation, lots of it included in the sale to the buyer
• Exterior paint - appears a "pale yellow - tan" color, original paint never painted
• Glass, trim, chrome, all present in really nice condition, windows roll up and down, doors close effortlessly, rear hatch works
• Interior, original condition and complete with nothing obvious missing, seats condition are nice, as shown in photos, speedo works, not sure on the radio, nice dash, the carpet, these cars did not come with carpet, they has a rubber liner, similar to older ford work trucks with the rubber liners.
• Electrical and lighting - no obvious issues, shorts or otherwise, all seem to work with battery connected. Wiring condition, is untouched, and not cut or damaged
• Tires and brakes, will need attention to the buyer liking
• Original title available, original miles, no issues with title and documentation
• Regarding Body / Frame, - no damage repair visible on any body panels, frame, or otherwise. The front floor boards, have surface rust as shown, nothing was cleaned or painted to hide anything, all items in the photos are exactly as they are on the car. trunk area is super clean and no rust anywhere, all frame rails are original and perfect condition, there are couple of photos showing a floor hole about 1-2 inch round, I broke it out to show, a small patch is all that is needed.Super structural condition..

General terms of sale

$500 non refundable deposit immediately at close of auction via paypal, to cover some of the ebay fees, should the transaction not be completed. The balance is due in full within 3 days of close of auction using one of the following methods, electronic bank transfer, cash, cashier check, personal check or combination, (either of these are the preferred method) the car will be not be released until payment in full is received and all funds have cleared bank processing. Copy of the Arizona title will be provided while payment is settled, original title shall be provided with the car after all funds are collected

Note: Should the buyer elect the paypal method for the remaining balance, please be prepared to add, about 2.% to the final auction price, the current paypal fee is about 3.7% and I will accept paying the other half...this is on the total final bid not including any transportation fees if added to paypal. All remaining ebay, or listing fees will be paid by the seller.
