Anyone interested in a 1989 Ford F-350 XLT Lariat SuperCab 1 Ton Dually truck with 33,588 miles (and yes, this mileage is correct!) on it, Big Red's on the market!
Yes, he might be 30, but he can still haul the mail!
He's a V8, 7.5 L. EFI, 460 Cu. In. HORSE!
He has aluminum wheel inserts with lug nut covers and diamond plate running boards and bed railings.
I'm running Lucas Gas Treatment in both tanks (have been for the last 10 years), Royal Purple Motor Oil in his engine, and he has a K & N Air Filter to help him purr! He had a Transmission flush, a Rear end grease job, and a radiator flush done in September, 2018 as well as new Cooper Discover tires (60,000 mile warranty) installed; all hoses are checked every year and replaced as needed, as are belts. Passed VA State Inspection in September, 2018 with minor issues that were fixed (tire rod ends, alignment). He had a new brake system and brake flush as well as new plugs and wires done September, 2017. Replaced original mirrors January, 2019. He has a extra heavy duty oil coolant (so Afton Mt won't nail you) and extra heavy duty springs.
THE Only issue I'm aware of is that the gas indicators in tanks don't work (you can get 145 miles on front tank and 125 on rear tank).
There's nothing structurally or mechanically wrong. I'm aware of everything that was done and I wouldn't be selling him if I thought he wouldn't be able to still go for quite some time for someone else. NEVER IN AN ACCIDENT.
Red would be a great truck for someone just starting to show horses. Has both gooseneck and bumper pull hook ups and electrical wiring.
Sells with extra lug nut covers, exhaust tips (these do need to be replaced as ones are a bit rusty), set of mirrors from Summit Racing, new windshield mirror, extra fuses box.
Also if you're interested, feel free to call Ed Ayers or James Mask at Luck Chevrolet in Ashland, VA as they are the ones who have taken care of him most of his life. He did go to Ferber's in September just simply because that's where the tires had to be shipped to.
The only thing that comes off is the bugshield as it has my farm name on it.
PLEASE NOTE: I don't have to sell this truck as it was my Dad's (he passed away February, 2017), but as we have a new truck, it's the most prudent thing to do rather than let him sit. This is considered a antique truck at this point and is in excellent shape. He has been repainted twice just to keep the red brilliant, last time was January 2012 and he was double clear coated.
