1956 Ford F-100 Custom Cab

The great thing about a vintage truck is that it can just as easily steal all the awards at a car show as it can transport you back to a time when we knew the value of a hard day's work. This 1956 Ford F-100 has that perfect vintage feeling to do all that, nd enough V8 power that maybe its workdays are not necessarily behind it.Bright red Ford pickups are a staple of Americana as much as gas pumps, orn fields, nd baseball caps, nd the mid-50s Fords are among the most attractive working machines of the period. This one's days of punching the time clock are well behind it, lthough these have been built so tough that a Home Depot run is never out of the question (just make sure you protect the pristinely restored wood bed first!) There's good workmanship here, ith straight panels, ood alignment, nd paint that's glossy without trying to be too flashy. The same humble-but-cool feeling comes from the brightwork on the bumper, rille, ood badging, nd Ford two-piece hubcaps. This pickup went through a full frame-off restoration to return it to 1950s-spec, nd the interior was certainly part of this rejuvenation. The whole inside is brightened up with a healthy dose of the same factory red that was applied to the outside. The vinyl bench seat has an eye-catching coordination with the paintwork without looking too fancy. The driver gets the classic large embossed three-spoke wheel that always seems to be grippy from every angle. This is a true workman's vehicle, o the main feature is a clear set of gauges to know what's going on with the motor at all times. Beyond that, t's the true necessities like the heater that was there to warm you up after a long fall day out in the fields. Under the hood you'll find an upgrade to a 312 cubic-inch V8 that doesn't spoil this pickup's original charm. Those who know these second-generation Ford F-Series trucks recognize that the factory engine displacement was never this large, ut other versions of this Y-Block were available across the Ford family in 1956. So this period-correct more powerful motor might have been borrowed from a Thunderbird, nd then it was given all the right truck touches such as the gray valve covers and tall oil bath air cleaner. This is mated to a column-mounted three-speed manual transmission. All of this combined means you can roll down the windows on this one and listen to the engine make its rhythmic symphony of simplicity. This is an exceptionally clean and authentic version of the pickups we all love. You can look at it from every angle (even the underside) and be impressed at with the quality of its restoration. Call Today!!
