One of 15631 Thunderbirds to be built in the second year of production.
This T-Bird had a frame off restoration in 1988 and its obvious it was done professionally. It has all the correct parts and even engine compartment decals as it was outfitted from the factory over 60 year ago.
It is painted in the very desirerable Peacock Blue which is in very respectable condition with few flaws if any.
The exterior trim and brightwork is also very presentable.
It sports a hard top and a soft top (rare).
The soft top is presentable but to take it up a notch the top could do with a replacement canvas.
It was a well optioned car as identified on its original Ford build sheet.
It has power windows and power seats and both work as they should.
The gauges are temperametal, the tach works, speedo is finicky but aside from that the interior is a nice combination of original and restored materials.
The carpet could do with a refresh as it appears original.
It is powered by its original 312cid V8 Y Block and it runs very well.
The Ford O Matic transmission shifts smoothly...all around a nice driver.
The chassic is clean and solid.
The car comes with a box of important replacement parts and also a binder of ownership documentation, invoices, repair orders, registrations, and a copy of the thunderbird clubs concours judging sheets it participated in.
