1949 Ford Other Pickups

1949 Ford F3 Pickup Truck
Original Patina truck, tastefully restored to maintain original look, but maintain the vintage look. Very solid truck, with minimal rust (only visible is the rear of the front fenders which is common). Floors are good, cab corners are good, and appears to have never been welded other than some tailgate patching.
Work carried out as follows:
  • 239 Flathead V8 with .030" overbore, fully rebuilt in 2018 from a fresh, tested, uncracked block. Custom Comp Cams cam, new pistons, valves, pumps, bearings, clutch, hardened valve seats for unleaded fuel, electronic ignition.
  • New Tubular headers with new custom dual pipes and glass packs
  • Converted to 12v, new voltage regulator, starter and generator rebuilt.
  • New 3 core aluminum radiator with mew silicon hoses.
  • Truck fully rewired with new harnesses from Midwest Early Ford.
  • New lights all round
  • New brake lines, shoes and wheel cylinders.
  • Differential and transmission oil changed
  • New 3" lowered possie springs on the front with new shackle bushes.
  • New 3" drop axle on front with new king pins, ball joints and tie bar.
  • New steering stabilizer fitted.
  • Rear lowered by leaf removal (Vehicle approx 6" total on front and 4" on rear)
  • New gas tank, sender unit and fuel lines
  • Original bench seat recovered in new vinyl from LMC Truck
  • Refurbished Ford Econoline 16" Steel Wheels (to do away with the original widomakers) fitted with new Coker tires
The truck still has the original wood bed, but it had been plated over at some point in its history, this was too difficult to remove, so I have put new wood over the top.
Some fun features I included which are easily reversible: Hand stenciled "SC Moonshine Delivery" on both doors, vintage milk crate in bed with moonshine mason jars, replica 1950's Columbia bicycle mounted in the bed. Old tool box and fuel can also in the rear.
Many more pictures available and feel free to ask questions. Reluctantly selling due to changes in personal circumstances. All work has been carried out during 2018, so this truck is fresh for the spring show season!
