1940 Ford Deluxe Woodie Wagon (Woody) - NO RESERVE Street Rod project

- NO RESERVE, NO RESERVE, NO RESERVE -

1940 Ford Deluxe Woodie Project

You are looking at a 1940 Ford Deluxe woodie (woody) project, and it is priced to sell! The 1940 Ford Deluxe is possibly the most desirable street rod woodie of all? Who doesn't love them! And this car provides you the ideal start to an afforable custom beach cruiser! Most of the mechanical work is complete and it is pretty much ready for the wood work and paint to start. It had a 350/400TH package in it when I found it, but I'm a fuel injection guy - so the prior owner retained both the motor and transmission. But the new Mustang II front suspension with disc brakes and power rack & pinion steering, power brakes, and Chevy Nova rear end are all still in place and ready to go! A tilt column, rebuilt gauge cluster (12V) and wiring harness are all in place. The cowl and dash are painted, new floorpans are installed and a new custom built brass radiator is even included The fenders and hood are sandblasted and in good condition, and the steel running boards are also in excellent condition. Again, to be clear - the car does NOT include an engine or transmission (or battery).

Thousands of dollars worth of new parts are included with this project! New Wheel Vintiques 15x6 Smoothie wheels (4) with new Ford dog dish caps and trim rings, a new Carrera 1940 Deluxe style reduced diameter steering wheel, new '40 Deluxe grille assy, new headlight assemblies, rechromed bumpers, new bumper guards, new door handles, new dash clock, new dash trim, new Deluxe hood trim, windshield wipers/arms, new Deluxe hood ornament, new running board covers, new windshield trim/rubber and more parts. I'll include the manila folder (about an inch thick!) with receipts for the new parts and over $10k in documented labor too!

I believe all of the parts are here to complete the woodie other than the wood (but no guarantees, as I haven't even opened 1/2 of the boxes that are included). I acquired the car in 2018 with plans to build it with an LS motor - but I just bought a high dollar resto-rod at the 2019 Scottsdale auctions this last weekend, and I am trying to reduce my collection by 2-3 cars to make room in my shop (and bank account!).

This car is a GREAT deal! I believe it is easily worth $25,000, but I am offering it at NO RESERVE starting well below $20,000. The car is located in Paso Robles, CA - exactly 1/2 way between Los Angeles and San Francisco - on CA Hwy 101. More specifically, I'm 190 miles to greater LA or SF, and only 110 miles to either Bakersfield or Fresno (either/or....same either way). I have a clear TN title in the prior owner's name and it is ready to transfer with a current and prior bill of sale.

Trades? Maybe for a finished car and giving this one a 25K valuation (but no motorcycles - they are not my thing). If you are a sincere buyer, you can call me at 805- three nine one -0509 (cell), or email me directly athotrodranch at live dot com(that is @live.com).My name is Scott, and I am happy to answer questionsabout this cool street rod project......but please askBEFOREyou bid!

This project is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells locally, so don't hesitate if you are interested, bid early and bid often.

Thanks for looking and good luck !!!!
