Description:

1969 Ford F-250 Ranger

Meet Ethyl. She is a 1969 F250 Ranger with a Camper Special package. She has the classic tool hide built into the long bed, aluminum truck bed rails, a spare tire carrier in the bed, and a large toolbox painted in the same color as the body. She has spectacularly low miles, 52k original, and under 10k on the engine rebuild, and rust in the most accessible and minor places only(read, none in the cab corners or anywhere really important).

The Good:

52k original miles. seriously.

AFB 4 barrel carb rebuilt 1k miles ago

complete brake system is brand new, less than 500 miles, only the master cylinder remains untouched

brand new wheels and tires, all five

brand new starting motor, starting solenoid, alternator, mechanical fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel sending unit and upgraded aluminum float, fuel fill throat, washer fluid reservoir and motor, power steering pump with lines and fluid, transmission fluid pan with seals and fluid

tons of interior upgrades like a new radio bezel, cargo bay light switch cover(very hard to find), parking brake light switch cover(also hard to find), new aluminum carpet runner covers, new window gears on both sides, completely re-keyed including ignition, new interior light cover in chrome, new chrome lock knobs, new chrome smaller sideview mirrors, new driver side door lock mechanism(ridiculously hard to find)

The Bad:

She needs a new wiring harness. My neighbor is a restoration mechanic on older vehicles, his shop quoted $2k to completely rewire her nose to tail. I can give you their contact info when you make the buy. The tube fuses blow regularly making it seem like the brake lights and tail lights, turn signals and dash lights don't work. They do, nothing is blown, they just need new lines. The parts are all still good.

She would love a new carb and intake manifold. She doesn't need it but she would run a lot smoother if she got it.

There are a few rust spots in the bed from where the previous owners had a camper.

She could do with a paint job. Or a truck wrap which is what I considered.

That's it.

I have a ton of cool stuff to go with her. I've got the old mirrors if you'd rather have them. I've got stainless steel door runner mounts for her that look pretty slick but I was waiting to get her painted before I installed them. The original tire jack and tire iron come with her too. A slew of other less interesting things for her as well.
