Most Ford & Mustang guys agree that 1969 was the best year for the classic pony car. That being said the general consensus is that variety makes the brand more interesting. Although the Mach 1 cars are awesome they can easily become bland in today's market place. There were over 72,400 Mach 1 & fastbacks cars produced in 1969 & over 122,000 coupes assembled. Respectfully there was only a fraction of convertibles produced "around 11,000 to be exact" (many of those being 6 cylinder models)! The MCA has coined the 1969 Mustang Convertible as one of the most sought after pony cars consistently since 2009!
This fact is not stated to take away from the other models but should be considered to appreciate the convertible pony cars!
Sit back and enjoy the pictures & video of a Mustang that draws attention each & everytime it leaves the garage! THUMBS UP AT EVERY SINGLE LIGHT! DISTINCT, DIFFERENT & EXCITING TO DRIVE!

Many things can be said about the vintage pony car that you see pictured here. It is the product of a Mid West collector who invoked upon a no holds barred meticulous restoration a short time ago.
I was fortunate to stumble across the car by word of mouth. The individual who informed me about it said the owner was thinking about putting the vehicle up for sale.
At any rate I reached out to him and we set a date that would be feasible to check it out.
When the appointed time came I was more than impressed by what I found.
The car was originally delivered to Flagship Ford in Baldwin, WI where the first owner took possession of it.
It seems to have been utilized as a daily driver through the first few years. Sometime in the early eighties a new Ford Granada became his primary source of transportation and subsequently the Mustang was sidelined.
After a few years of being shunned the original owner decided to put it up for sale. The next lucky owner came across the ad in his local news paper and pounced on the opportunity.
Once the changing of the guard took place he immediately launched a full scale effort restore it.
From his perspective it has always been stored & cherished (accident free vehicle)! Being an avid collector he sparingly drove the 69 Mustang because there were many other Fords in his arsenal.
Since the 69 model lived a sheltered life all of the cars body lines are straight very uniform. Each panel is impressive and the gaps seem to be in step with factory tooling specifications.
There is little doubt that the body was stripped and media blasted before being covered in enamel.
The fit and finish is very respectable so it's easy admire the vehicles overall appearance. You'll have no problem holding your head high at the local car cruise!
Many attributes make it a fan favorite. The Raven Black exterior maintains a high gloss shine and a mirror finish! The Flame Red GT side stripes really shakes up the appearance package and provides perfect contrast!
This model has been christened with a factory Ford hood scoop and a perfect set of sport mirrors!
Chrome accents are sprinkled throughout which provide just the right touch! New N.O.S side emblems can be easily detected along with a new running grille stallion. This pony also sports all new grille moldings, rocker panel moldings and wheel lip moldings (excellent shape)!
The total picture is simply breath taking and compliments can be expected at every corner!
The front & rear bumpers have been replaced with Ford sanctioned components.
What could be better than lowering the top on a classic Mustang ...?
This black beauty was treated to a new TMI top last summer and it still looks incredible! No expense was spared when this operation took place all new hydraulic lines were also installed!
The convertible top pump was serviced along with the fluid that keeps it functioning properly.
Many individuals tend to neglect this very important process but failure to do so can cause immense & expensive problems later.
No worries here "all the hard work has been done for youâ€! The top lowers in an instant and works wonderfully!
She is really buttoned up nicely "commendable quality investmentâ€!
"TAKE A FINAL PEEK"
Upon opening the door of this rag top you will find a stark black interior! Although it can be considered pedestrian in nature the subtle surroundings fit the vehicle perfectly!
The ebony seat upholstery has been replaced and really works well with the cockpit. The dash pad and center section blends in nice with the remaining portions. The steering wheel is show quality along with the center emblem.
A working radio jumps into action upon command and so does the factory wipers.
To further enhance the interior is a beautiful dash pad. The rear quarter trim is laced with 6 inch two way speakers.
Standard door panels have been incorporated from the factory & new emblems are installed. Courtesy lights still illuminate when either door is open!
Updated loop pile carpet is sealed to the chassis.A FLAME RED set of pony embossed floor mats adds just the right touch (amazing contrast)!
NO MUSTANG CAN BE TRULY CONSIDERED A FREE RUNNING STALLION WITHOUT HAVING A FACTORY V/8!
Thankfully Ford didn't buck the trend when this one was assembled. The factory F-Code 302 can still be found underneath the hood.
This block still was showing 32,000 miles when it came to rest in 1996. By the way it performs I truly believe this can be accurate!
Before the car was put back on the road a few years ago a mild rebuild took place. The makeover involved installing some high performance internals that keep it operating at an optimal range.
She certainly has more pep than the average factory small block which makes it much more exciting to drive!
An original cast iron intake still sits atop the block and FOMOCO carburetor distributes the fuel.
Wiseco pistons and PRW rockers help create respectable torque and honorable horse power!
Dependability is a cinch thanks in part to new plugs, 8mm wires & voltage regulator.
The belts have been replaced along with both radiator hoses. An upgraded starter takes the place of the original one.
To top things off the radiator, water pump, high volume oil pump & thermostat was also replaced.
Many more other new parts were installed to keep it reliable (vacuum advance, cap, rotor, alternator, battery, etc.
A set of factory valve covers & air cleaner further enhances the engine bay.
Hardened valves seats have been installed so the vehicle can burn modern unleaded fuel efficiently "an important aspect that many fail to doâ€! No short cuts were taken.
The power steering equipment and suspension has all recently received a clean bill of health from Firestone and a local restoration shop (references ready) new sway bar bushing have been added.
An infectious growl trumpets out back by the aid of dual exhaust!
This car is simply a blast to drive & it sounds incredible when the throttle is engaged!
