NO RESERVE WORLDWIDE AUCTION - BID TO WIN...OR MAKE AN OFFER TO BUY OUTRIGHT!!!
1968 Ford Ranger F100. Factory 390 - Automatic. Manual Steering & Brakes
South Carolina/North Carolina Truck, but does have some rust on the doors, floor pans, bed floor and tailgate.
No rust under the hood, fenders, cab corners and cab mounts or frame.
This truck continues to be a great project with lots of new parts, work and money already put in. Engine and compartment has been restored to original.
List of new parts include:
-Factory Spec Carburetor (The one in the photos was temporarily installed)-Water Pump-Alternator-Distributor-Spark Plugs & Wires-All Fluids-Red Top Optima Battery-Oil Sensor-Solenoid-Circuit Protector-NOS Exhaust Manifolds & New Bolts-Complete Dual Exhaust Front to Back-Stainless Steel Exhaust Tips-Radiator & Hoses-Radiator/Core Support & Bushings-Right Inner Fender-Door Seals (doors are still a little hard to close due to new seals)-NOS Amber Parking Lamp Lenses-Milestar Street Steel Tires 235/70R15 Front - 265/70R15 Rear (Under 100 miles use)-Bench Seat Upholstery & Carpet Kit-Left Arm Rest-Front Chrome Bumper
During the process all original parts were cleaned, stripped, wire brushed and repainted, including bolts and hardware. The attention to details is obvious.
Original color was Meadowlark Yellow. Truck was repainted a slightly darker color some time ago. I don't know when exactly . Body is straight with no excessive dents or damage. There are some dings, scratches, marks, etc. throughout. I had no intentions of repainting the truck. I like it the way it is. You may desire otherwise.
I still have to tweak the throttle linkage. The kick down engages a little early.
Brakes were also on my "To Do Next List". Truck does stop but with manual brakes they should be adjusted or replaced. E-brake assembly is not installed either. I do have it.
There is a slow oil leak out of the rear end and I can hear the gears at around 50 mph. My plan was to replace the whole rear end with one from another truck. I have it and will include in the sale or replace for cost of labor only.
I also have a replacement steering column. The one in the truck works fine as far as steering goes, but the wires were cut before I purchased the truck so the turn signals and brake lights are not working. Dash lights come on when the ignition is on.
The heater is currently bypassed due to a leaky core. I have a new one which is included.
I'm kind of just "testing the waters" here. I really hate to sell this truck as a project but after working on it for the last six months or so, I realize that I am having less and less time to continue with my plans for it.
