1970 Ford Mustang Convertible

There is something ultra cool about a blue with white 1970 Ford Mustang convertible. Whether you're a fan of Charlton Heston in The Omega Man or just love beautifully restored pony cars, this is a V8 ragtop that just has an instant attraction. The 1970 Mustang is often the sought-after design. It was a one-year only style that gave the original pony car a more muscular presence on the streets. This one definitely goes for the performance-minded appearance with its bold shaker hood and black stripes. That paint you can't take your eyes off of is Grabber Blue. This car had a full restoration competed in 2009, and there was plenty invested in making sure that this factory color lived up to its attention-grabbing name by adding plenty of modern clearcoat shine. Adding to this sunshine-friendly ragtop's bright attitude are front and rear bumpers that received plenty of attention so they have a mirror-like finish. But this sunny Mustang doesn't lose its aggressive side. Quad exhaust tip at the back and the Magnum 500 wheels with the Mustang logo in the centercap are nice hints that this convertible has some power behind it. Beneath the new white folding roof is a matching bright white vinyl interior, so you look good no matter if you're buttoned up or open to the world. In 1970 the Mustang seemed to strike a nice balance combining a racy feel with grand touring comfort in a way that has defied the decades. Handsome high-back bucket seats not only look cool, but they also are firm and supportive for long drives. The desirable center console with tall armrest also makes this a nice atmosphere on long trips. You get a three-spoke sports steering wheel with Mustang centercap. Beyond that is an exceptionally clear set of original gauges, and there's even added auxiliary readouts in front of the gear leaver. This all makes for an exceptionally nice setup for sunny day drives. And if the weather does turn gray, the power folding roof can shield you from the elements quickly, and the new weather stripping and window felts add to your security. When you pop the hood, not only do you get a great view of the aforementioned shaker, but also you see there were Cobra valve covers added for even more aggression. But really this is more than just intimidating in appearance. You're looking at Ford's legendary 351 cubic-inch Windsor V8. This bulletproof motor has a great blue engine block, and there is a huge list of upgrades for it. That's why we're not surprised to see go-fast goodies such as a four-barrel carburetor, performance intake, and long tube headers. That last upgrade also contributes to the wicked rumble from the dual exhaust. All this power gets to the ground reliably thanks to Ford's stout C4 three-speed automatic transmission that feeds the versatile 3.50 Traction Lok rear end. Handling is also done right in this Mustang with front disc brakes and Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires. Aggressive, fun, and iconic â€" 1970 was one of the most distinctly styled years for the first-generation Mustang. Complete with Marti Report and owner's manual, this is a classic convertible that you will be proud to drive, and it has the right features so you can do it every day. Call now!!!
