1948 Ford Thames

This is a 1948 Thames, a rare little car, but so cool and fun to drive! This is in great shape for the year as the pictures can tell, there is no rust on it. The body was painted some time ago, it is single stage and has a few flaws in it as can be expected. The prior owner switched it from a generator to an alternator to make it more reliable, and added an electric fan with a temp controlled switch. The car is just a good driver and everything works as it should, gauges, breaks, starts, runs drives down the road. Does Not overheat, nothing weird. i've driven it to many shows from 1 mile to 30 miles away, you get some weird looks with it, most people see the "ford emblem" on the grille and get confused when it says Thames. I'm not a genius on thames, but i thinks it's mostly original other then what i listed. believe it or not one of the biggest talking points are the tires, i believe them to be original also. It was owned by a collector of english cars for many years until he sold it in the 80s and went to the guy who owned it before me who had his mechanic go through it, that's when the alt was added, I believe i have the original generator and a box of other parts and some extra parts with it. Chances are you won't find another one and better chances are you won't find another one that runs and drives and doesn't have rust. This is currently in one of my pole barns, where its parking spot has been for years so it's not out in the weather and will remain in there until pick up is made.
The car is a little dusty and dirty inside and out from my pole barn, but will clean up well, it was all nice and clean a few months ago.
