1959 Ford Thunderbird Top of the line

Please read this description. I am listing this 59 Thunderbird for one of my best friends. I am the one that pulled the engine and transmission, so I know a little about this car. The engine has been completely rebuilt. The machine work was done by one of the best shops in the Sacramento area. Another one of my best friends has had several Chrysler 440's done by this same shop and he says he checks their work everytime and it is always spot on. Myself and another of our best friends who is a very good and knowledgeable mechanic helped put the engine back together. Something all of us has done quite a few times. The transmission has also been completely rebuilt by another fine Sacramento shop. Over $5,000.00 has been spent on thisrefurbishing. This sale also includes brand new back glass and weatherstripping. We have the receipts and clear title on this vehicle. I also took notes when I pulled the engine. This is a very straight vehicle and a very rare, numbers matching, fully optioned vehicle. That's correct the engine serial number matches the VIN number. This is a California car so there is very little rust through or cancer. I only found one spot and I am the one who cleaned this car. There is a small spot at the rear of thedriver's side front wheel well. (see photo #6) Yes there is surface rust in many locations but it is not rust through. Even the spare tire well is solid. All of the soft parts need replacing. The headliner is gone, but the bows are present. The seat upholstery needs to be redone. The carpeting and door panels need replacing. I saved all the metal trim pieces. There are several extra parts including some of the chrome trim pieces. The steering wheel needs to be refurbished. To my knowledge there is not one single part missing from this fine old Thunderbird. And there are many extra parts. I haven't as yet found the lockset and trim for the trunk key, but I haven't looked everywhere yet either. I have many more photos I can send you and still haven't taken photos of the engine and transmission yet but will do so this week. The great thing about this car is that there are several sources for brand new parts, and they won't cost an arm and a leg. Try old Dodge trucks sometime. The odometer shows 24,863.2 miles. The tires will need replacing. They only hold air for a two or three days. There is air on sight. As stated earlier this is a clean titled vehicle and we have the receipts for the engine and transmission rebuilds. Selling for much less than is invested. We may be able to hold this for up to thirty days and we will of course work with your shipper to facilitate the transaction. Let me know if there is any more information you require or if I can help in any ways. Going to be sad to see this go. My friend tried very hard to get it ready for Hot August Nights.
