Description:

1965 Ford Thunderbird convertible vintage bucket seats

1965 Ford Thunderbird convertible

VIN 5Y85Z1145O3

It has the original 390 4bbl 300HP and matching 3 speed auto transmission. PS/PB and AM FM factory radio.

This came out of a private collection of a T Bird convertible collector recently and was never offered for sale until today! He was the 2nd owner of this vehicle since 1983 .

It has only 50k original miles.

I know the car has been garaged since he purchased back in 1982.The car was repainted 1 time back in the early 1980s the original color. He got sick and parked it in 1992.

Fast forward to this summer and he asked me to get it running and sell it for him.

I had it taken to a local mechanic and put 4 new tires white wall radial tires on it, flushed fuel tank, changed the fluids, put a battery in it, replaced the carburetor and it fired right up. The power top went up also.

The seats and carpets are decent original . Top has a rip on the left side. The left rear power window does not respond to the switch. It does come with the original rear fender skirts
The brake pedal is are mushy and exhaust leak . The parking brake works fine. Glass is nice. Very solid car overall with great floors and frame ect.

These cars sell for 19 to 22k normally so I am pricing very fair to allow for repairs.

Just look at the NADA, Hagarty value guides book values of these 1965 convertible cars, great investment!

Nice straight steel body panels

New whitewall radial tires!

Comes with title copies and history back to 1983, owners cars documenting mileage

Best of all the car has only 50,012 original actual documented miles

It does need a lot of work as shown to restore to optimum concourse cometic level but it overall very solid, has real good l bones, great Value in the Hagarty value or NADAguide.
