1932 Ford Model A Roadster
With its high-impact, unusually well-executed look, this 1932 Ford Model A Roadster makes quite a definitive statement. It features a level of curb appeal that's pretty hard to beat and will pull into its next owner's garage with build receipts and restoration photos that document its journey to its awesome state. Ford roadsters of this vintage have served as the foundation for street rod projects for decades, with legions of enthusiasts beginning the building process by... hunkering down and strategizing just how to create a ride with maximum visual impact. Not only did this street rod benefit from a lot of careful planning, but once it was up and running it's been well cared for. The dramatic flames extending backwards against a black backdrop make for one show-stopper of an exterior and upon closer inspection you'll find nothing to lessen your enthusiasm - everything's in very good condition here. The flames are unusually sharp and when you raise the hood, you'll find them on the inside, as well. From front to back, all the chrome on display - including the headlight buckets, front crossbar and grille, windshield trim mirrors and bumpers - is also in top notch form. This '32 also affords options should you find yourself out on the road when the skies darken, certainly rare for a roadster, as there's both a black canvas convertible top and a removable hard top on hand for protection. Climb inside and right away you'll get the feeling that this street machine is a blast to drive. The bench seat is well padded and offers a great custom look as it sits over an expanse of new-looking red carpeting with a Lokar shifter within easy reach. There's plenty of space between the seating and dash area in front, so even taller drivers should have no issues getting comfortable in this interior. Just beyond the leather-wrapped steering wheel, the full complement of Moon gauges looks great in the textured instrument cluster sitting against the shiny black backdrop. Everything's also nice and clean in the storage area in back, with its walls and lower deck lid lined with red tuck and roll fabric to match the interior. This open-air roadster features an array of components that would be considered impressive by any measure. A 350 cubic inch V8 sits under the flamed hood, carrying a Holley 600 cfm carb under a Mooneye air cleaner on top that pairs with the matching Mooneye valve covers on its sides. Professionally rebuilt with Keith Black hypereutectic pistons and Pink rods, the engine runs as good as it looks, emitting a nice low rumble out of its HPC Blockhugger headers leading out to Flowmaster dual exhausts, while a Walker radiator sits perfectly fitted in the tapered engine compartment to keep temperatures in check. The powerplant teams up with a 3-speed automatic TH350 transmission that, with 3.55 gears in back, is well suited for strong off the line acceleration without winding RPMs too high at higher speeds. Taking a look below is an absolute must - the polished stainless-steel components and clean, straight frame rails and floorpans are quite a sight to behold. Pete & Jakes ladder bars help bring all that power to the pavement, Alden coilovers sit in back to provide a nice ride and Wilwood disc brakes are up front for dependable stopping power as this well-equipped street rod heats up the asphalt on its 15" Wheel Vintique Lakesters outfitted with BF Goodrich Radial T/As. Outstanding curb appeal and an array of top tier components make this 1932 Ford Model A Roadster a standout in even the most distinguished of street rod company. Call today!
