1965 Ford Mustang --

Its getting harder and harder to get your hands on an early fastback Mustang. They just didn't build as many of them. They were certainly Mr. Shelby's body style of choice, and if they're yours, then check out this very well-built example. It's got a couple trick upgrades to the body, and one under the hood that will bring a smile to your face when you romp on the gas pedal. Lighting is this cars friend. From... the outside, light shines off the classic lines and Red paint of this '65 showing off every crease and curve that the designers at Ford sculpted into it. Built into it is some trick LED lighting like the Cougar style sequential taillamps along with LED turn signals. Up front, Cibie H4 headlamps are complimented by LED sport lamps in the grill. A fiberglass Cobra hood with its serious looking hood scoop is held down with hood pins which add a splash of chrome to match the grill and bumper. A triple white stripe runs along the bottom of the door from fender well to fender well. The view from the side is awesome with louvers highlighting the fastback roofline that blends into the trunk and rear spoiler so smoothly. Those 6-chambered taillights are trimmed in chrome and are underlined by a thin bumper with chrome exhaust tips peeking out from underneath. The interior of this car has a few surprises on its own to offer, but let's go through the nice, stock elements of this Black interior first. The door panels are pleated and trimmed in chrome. The front bucket seats are super sharp with pleated centers and smooth borders. The rear seats are also dressed out nicely, but when you fold down the back of it, you will find one on the nice surprises. A set of serious speakers to pump out your favorite tunes. Back up front, the driver has a beefy 4-spoke wooden steering wheel with a Mustang center button to conduct business with. Behind it is what looks like a stock dashboard, however, when you turn the lights on, you will discover that it has received the LED lighting treatment too. A Rally Pac of gauges includes a tachometer and a clock and the ventilation controls include those for a Gen IV Vintage Air R134 A/C system. A shifter for the 4-speed manual transmission rises from the center console and begs to be stirred around. Pop the hood (don't forget to pull the hood pins first) and you will find another nice surprise. To go along with the highly desirable fastback body, is a highly desirable 289 V8. Even better than that, this one has been built up and the configuration suggests that the engine should be pumping out around 375 horsepower! That's quite a few ponies under this hood! A free flow air cleaner provides lots of fresh air to a Holley 4-barrel carb with an electric choke. That means that even with a serious build, this car always starts right up. Finned aluminum, Cobra Ford, valve covers look great and help a bit with oil cooling. Long tube headers get the spent gasses out and heading downstream to dual Flowmaster mufflers and it all sounds so sweet when you run it up through the gears. Front disc brakes assure that you can reign these ponies back in when you decide to let them run and factory look magnesium wheels mount 215/70R15 tires in the rear and 205/50R15s in the front. A built 289 4-speed in a tricked out Red '65 fastback. What are you waiting for? Come on down and check this sweet ride out!
