This "limited-editionâ€1966 Ford Mustang, which was introduced as part of a springtime sales promotion, consisted of an inline-6 cylinder Mustang equipped with a chrome air cleaner, special Sprint 200 air-cleaner decal, and painted side accent stripes.
Ford broke the 1,000,000 Mustang mark in 1966, only 18 months after its introduction, when the1,000,000th Mustangrolled off the assembly line on March 2, 1966. To celebrate Ford released theSprint 200 Mustang.
After researching, this is believed to the #5 of 5 Sprint Mustangs sold to Charlotte Sales Office.

Includes original numbers matching engine and transmission.Engine has been machined, includes new pistons rods rings, polished crank, the head has also been resurfaced, new valves seals and springs. Includes oil pan, pick up, valve cover and a few other misc engine parts but is not assembled. Transmission is matching numbers but appears to be original in unknown condition.Car will need floor patches and quarter patch panels, very solid North Carolina car, built in Michigan.Glass is all good. Car is 80% complete with all parts being from same vehicle, has not been molested or hacked together. Filler panels for front and rear bumper, headlights grill and tail lights, Lots of parts included. Driver front wheel is locked up due to brake seizure, easy fix but wanted to put the accurate condition.
Sprint 200 side rocker molding and air cleaner included,and luxury bucket seats. hard to find a Sprint 200 this complete, don't let this jewel slip away from your collection.
Original interior color was red but someone started redoing the interior in the oem blue that the mustang used from that year. The seats are in excellent condition and are oem to the car.
