1970 Mustang Boss 302 "Tribute" - 351 Auto
1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Tribute
If you are looking for an insanely cool driver, for a super low price, this is the car for you! For the asking price, you can pick this baby up for the price of a modern used V6 Mustang or a nice used KIA. You could buy four or five of these for the price of one real Boss 302. If you have a real Competition Yellow Boss 302, buy this one for a daily driver so you don't have to cash out your 401K to fix a door ding in the real one. You can drive and enjoy this car while preserving the real one.
BODY/TRIM/GLASS -
This car is an older, amateur restoration, and it shows. The Competition Yellow paint is still shiny, but it has several paint chips and scratches that were touched up. I tried showing the waviness and dents the best I could, but the color really hides them in the sunlight (a big plus when you don't want the bad bodywork to be evident, after you buy it). Although the bodywork is wavy, it seems to be holding together great! Looking in the truck you will see that partial rear quarters were put on when it was last painted. Floor patch pans were put in as well. Has front& rear spoilers, window louvers and a real SHAKER HOOD and SCOOP. All the glass is good but scratches are present; the windshield has a small chip on the lower passenger side. The trim is all there; some is scratchy/foggy due to the age. The front headlight bucket trim and hood trim have tiny dents. The rear bumper has two tiny dents. The front bumper is new.
-INTERIOR-
New seats and carpet. New full OEM style dash (not a plastic cap). New CD Player with AUX connection. New front seat belts.
-DRIVETRAIN-
351W engine, with 10,000-ish miles. New stainless steel 2.5" dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers and Pypes X pipe, new headers. C4 transmission, 6,000-ish miles on rebuild. 9" rear end with 2.75 ratio. Yes, that is a tall gear, but the car has plenty of get-up-an-go, and easily breaks the tires loose. It's a great cruising gear! New starter on 6/24/17. The car leaked oil when I received it, but it turned out to be a stripped oil plug. I put some sealer on the plug and reused it, but you might install a new one at the next oil change.
-ELECTRICAL-
Headlights, taillights, turn signals, dash lights, license plate lights, and courtesy lights all work. Horn works. All gauges work.
WHEELS/SUSPENSION/BRAKES-
New 15X7 and 15X8 Magnum 500 wheels with new caps and new lug nuts. The tires are nearly new, but have some uneven wear on the front insides because I drove the car a bit before getting aligned. It was aligned on 6/26/17 and is now good to go! Rear air shocks that hold air well. The manual drum brakes were just adjusted and bled, and function as they should. The car runs down the road nice and straight and is easy to drive for a car without power steering.
I will need the full payment within ten days of the auction's end, but I can keep the car up to 14 days after the auction ends in my dry storage building while you arrange shipping (I realize it can take a few weeks). After 14 days, storage charges of $5.00 per day will be charged. Also, if you choose to pay with ANY type of check, the car will NOT leave my yard until it clears your bank and my credit union says I can release it. I prefer an Electronic Funds Transfer or cash. A $500.00, non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of purchase, or I will cancel the sale and relist. The car is sold as-is, where-is, no warranty. I will work with the winning bidder to help arrange shipping, but I will not help pay for it.- Condition: Used
