Very original car;
·Pain, interior & drivetrain all believed to be as supplied by Ford in 1969
·Not original but easily changed- Electric fan & underdash stereo (no factory wires were cut and existing holes in the dash were used to mount the stereo) Tires (radial) and mufflers.

Please see details below
I bought this car a couple of years ago and use it during the summer to attend cruise nights and outdoor car shows. The sport roof GT Torino always draws lots of attention as there is rarely another one at the show. The car is "turn key" ready to go!
The story I was told was that the car was purchased and used as a daily driver for two years. A family situation resulted in the car being parked from 1971 for over forty years only seeing limited use as a parade car. The car came to Canada from the USA in 2014.
The condition of the car is exceptional for an unrestored car. Paint has a great shine and the body is straight.Yes if you go down on your knees the paint has some stone chips primarily in the lowest parts of the fenders behind the wheels. Please keep in mind that I had to lay on the ground to get the photos of the stone chips. In my opinion the car does not need a repaint and shows very well as is. I believe that the car is more valuable with the factory paint job than a re-spray. People at the car shows often comment on how nice the car looks and are shocked that original paint can still look that good.
Interior of the car is original and in good condition. AM radio works but presently the antenna is connected to the FM stereo as I prefer to use the more modern sound system.
The brightwork of the car is in very good condition. Bumpers are bright and the trim is all in good to excellent condition. Several pieces of trim are so good that I suspect that they may have been changed to NOS (new old stock) parts at some point in time.
The car runs and drives very well. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. It has been extremely reliabl, good on gas, and maneuvers well on the highway. Brakes and steering components were safety inspected by a licenced mechanic this spring.
The underside of the car is not detailed. It is a combination of factory paint, road grime, grease and 1969 dealer applied undercoating. I have spent a great deal of time under this car inspecting it and I can tell you there is NO RUST ISSUES. Not a single swollen seam or flakey rust anywhere that I can find. If you wanted to spend some time with a heat gun and a wooden scraper I believe that you could for the most part bring the bottom of the floor back to factory paint.
I have mixed emotions about selling the car. I have another car that needs the financial input that selling this car would provide. I have never owned a car that was so original and in such remarkable good condition for an unrestored car. It is truly a gem of a " survivor " and a real time capsule in the form of a Barn find. Not sure if Barn find is the right term as it was always in a garage? I hope that the car can go to someone who will enjoy and appreciate the car as much as we have.

Known defects:
The rear tail pipes have a patch welded to the bottom of the pipe by the previous owner. I always planed on changing them but they do not leak and the pipes are solid. I choose to leave it as is to help prove the originality but you may wish to have these spots touched up. Please keep in mind that I had to lay on the ground to get a photo of the chipped area.

Importing a car from Canada to the USA.
Ihave sold three cars now that have gone the USA. None of the buyers in the past had any issues at all or were they charged any taxes or duty to import the cars. This Torino is an USA made car that was first registered in the USA
The US customs and border protection website indicates that that is still the case for cars coming from Canada. Please see https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/278/~/importing-classic-or-antique-vehicles-%2F-cars-for-personal-use for more details
