This 3 Owner 1988 Ford 5.0 Mustang LX Convertible is a True Time Capsule with currently only 3,030 mile (Yes, Three Thousand and Thirty). It is completly original down to the air silencer, zip tie wire holders in the engine compalrtment, exhaust system (including mufflers), wiper blades and even the spats are still attached inside the front wheel well liners. Don't let the Chrome Pony Wheels with BFG G-Force Tires fool you because the Original 10 Hole "Phone Dial" Wheels with the Original Goodyear Gatorbacks will also be included in this auction. The Gatorbacks look great and have less than 2,000 miles on them, but anyone will tell you that unless you're trailering your car the last thing you want to do is drive around on 30-year-old tires no matter how good they look.

Zero Rust/Zero Issues/All VIN Tags Intact. Everything works including the radio, clock, top, front and rear windows (not every Fox Convertible owner can say this) and ashtray door to name a few. The HVAC systems works perfectly however, the air conditioner requires an occasional blast of R12 that I retained for originality purposes. I have owned this beauty for a little over 3 years and have resisted the urge to modify her in any way and feel it's now time to move on to something else before I end up adding all of the modifications that I've been dreaming of in my head for the past few years that would only ruin this vehicle. Simply put you could not buy a more optioned LX 5.0 Convertible in 1988. Gray Leather, Red Bittersweet Stripe (this meant pinstripe delete) and AOD. The only issue worth noting is a small scuff on the molding under the passenger side headlight that I have photographed that occurred when the previous Owner parked a little too close to his garage door that caused the scuff on the way down. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere as it is the 9th Fox bodied Mustang I've owned and simply one of the best.
