up for bid is a 1980 Shay Model A replica of a 1929 Model A roadster.Shay model A's were built from 1978 until 1982.Harry Shay arranged with Ford Motor Company to build a limited run modern day reproduction of the 29 Model A Roadster to be sold through a limited number of Ford dealerships.They were to look like a Model A Roadster but have modern day running gear.To accomplish this they used the running gear From the Ford Pinto consisting of 2.3 litre 4 cylinder motor and automatic or 4 speed transmission.Approx 5000 units were built.This Model a has the 2.3 litre motor coupled to a 4 speed trans.It has front disc brakes,radio and heater.The car has less than 10000 actual miles since new and is in excellent condition.The top folds down just like the original cars did.The tires are in great shape but old and everything works as it should.The car came from an estate but was well cared for.Body and paint are in great shape with no body damage and doesn't appear to have ever had any damage.Interior is perfect as is the cloth top and all the glass.Also included are the side curtains (not shown) so you can drive it on those cooler rainy days.Car has always been stored inside and it shows in the condition it is in.Has only been used as a Sunday driver which is evident in the low miles.This is your chance to have a Model A car with all the modern drivetrain to jump in and drive highway speeds and go see the country on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.The car is located in western Nebr.and can be stored inside for a couple weeks or so until it can be picked up at no charge.Car has a clear title and must be paid for in full before it leaves.$1500.00 to be paid within 48 hrs of sale and remainder with in 7 days and BEFORE THE CAR LEAVES.If you have any questions I can be reached at 308-631-2541.I DO NOT NEED ANY HELP SELLING!!!!Selling as-is with no implied warranty.Buyer responsibly for transportation.Can be stored inside for reasonable amount of time at no charge.Good luck happy bidding.
