We recently purchased this Galaxie from the previous older Washington State owner, who was only the second owner and as you can tell in the pictures and video it was his pride and joy !! He told us that the 82,527 miles showing on the odometer are the ACTUAL ORIGINAL miles although we have no way of proving it. Just look at this thing though !! It was bought brand new 11-25-1965 at Ray Schultens Ford in The Dalles, Oregon and then driven to its new home in Carson, Washington. It has always been in Washington state until we bought the car and brought it to Boise, Idaho. This Galaxie still retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - driver's door mounted Ford data / VIN tag and it's - ORIGINAL - 1965 Ford owner's manual, both of which are shown in several pictures below. This is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Washington State - Idaho High Mountain Desert - Western car and it shows !! I drove this Galaxie as my daily driver for the last several days and it runs and drives VERY WELL !! It is a sweet driver in town and cruises down the freeway easily and smoothly. If you can make it to Boise in the next ten days, please come and take a look at and drive this BEAUTY for yourself. This is a NICE CLASSIC GALAXIE 500 TWO DOOR HARDTOP THAT IS READY TO DRIVE, SHOW AND ENJOY !!At the heart of this Galaxie is what appears to be the VERY STRONG !! - FACTORY ORIGINAL !! - Code "C" - 289 CID V8 motor that is running VERY well. The motor also sports the ORIGINAL intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, Chrome Valve covers, Chrome air cleaner housing and the ORIGINAL carburetor !! As you can see in one of the pictures below it comes with its ORIGINAL valve covers and air cleaner if you want to put the engine compartment back to bone stock. Sounds GREAT too with the factory style true dual exhaust system with dual chrome tips. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - Code "6" - Three speed - C4 -"Cruise-O-Matic" - automatic transmission which also functions very well. The BEAUTIFUL !! - MOSTLY ALL FACTORY ORIGINAL !! - Code "65" - Red Galaxie 500 interior is in NICE condition for being mostly factory original including a NICE Red front seat, NICE Red carpeting, GOOD ORIGINAL Matching Red Vinyl door panels, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Factory gauge clusters, NICE ORIGINAL Galaxie steering wheel, NICE ORIGINAL Black and Red dash, NICE ORIGINAL White Vinyl headliner, VERY NICE ORIGINAL White Vinyl sun visors, NICE Red rear seat and a GOOD ORIGINAL Red Vinyl dash pad !! All of the ORIGINAL black rubber weatherstripping is soft, supple and in good condition for being original. The - Code "M" - Wimbledon White exterior finish is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL !! and looks STUNNING !! as you can clearly see in the LENGTHY VIDEO & 100+ ADDITIONAL PICTURES below this description !! This Galaxie 500 comes nicely equipped including factory power steering, factory power wipers, factory front wing windows, factory gauge clusters with 120 MPH speedometer, original day / night rear view mirror, original clock which is no longer working, original AM radio, awesome Kenwood digital AM / FM / CD player stereo radio, original driver's chrome remote side view exterior mirror, factory front and rear seat belts and factory back up lights. This Galaxie 500 has GREAT looks and VERY STRONG 289 V8 power as well, whats not to love ?! There are not many of these left on the roads for sure ! The suspension and drive line seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. Check out the AWESOME - FACTORY ORIGINAL - Galaxie stainless steel wheel covers and GOOD whitewall steel belted radials, boy do they look OUTSTANDING on this Galaxie and really help retain that CLEAN - "Factory Original" - look !! All of the ORIGINAL Chrome and Stainless Steel exterior body trim and moldings are in NICE condition including good ORIGINAL Chrome front and rear bumpers, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Badging and VERY NICE ORIGINAL Stainless Steel grill and Chrome headlight surrounds. The CLEAN - SOLID - trunk also sports a NEW black carpet liner and a NEW full size whitewall radial spare tire. All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are also clear, bright and BEAUTIFUL !! I looked underneath and also included photos below, again this is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Washington State - Idaho High Mountain Desert - western vehicle and it shows !! In my opinion, you're not going to find much nicer SOLID ORIGINAL floors than the one's on this BEAUTY !!
