1976 Ford Pinto Station Wagon. This rare and classic beauty is in need of a new forever home. She was my 30 year old daughter's first car in highschool and after graduation was sold to a Shriner for parades ect. For years I kept track of it and when the gentleman was too old to care his collection I purchased it back. It was my daily driver for 3 years and more recently only driven on special occasions. I love this car but do not have the time to give it the attention it deserves and it breaks my heart to see it sitting idle in the driveway.
So here are the detailsUPDATE!!!!!!Went to start her up this morning and, no go, I am certain the starter needs to be replaced. I am leaving town for a couple of days and do not have time to do this. SO THIS VEHICLE IS NOW NOT RUNNING! If you still want to bid, that is great if I don't get any bids I will relist once I replace the starter later next week.It has a straight body with no major accidents, that I know of, the right fender has a very slight bend from an ugly blow out (picture included). The driver's side door was replaced due to a guy in a big truck whipping into the parking space next to me when I had my door open. The entire driver's side has been professionally repainted and is blended very nicely with the original paint.The interior needs some work, the dash has been painted and looks good but the carpets and front seats have seen better days. The back seat looks pretty great, though it does two small holes in it.
I am not a mechanic so I can't give you a lot of "car talk". I can however contact the wonderful mechanic that maintained it for me throughout the years with any questions I personally cannot answer.I would love to see this car go to someone will appreciate as much as I do.
