Up for sale is a 1957 Ford Courier model code 78A. The Ford Courier is also known as a sedan delivery and a ranch wagon. The courier brand started in 1952 and has underwent several design changes all the way through the current model year. Ford courier of this year is more rare than the F code supercharged vehicles. The 1957 Ford Courier was a beefy utility vehicle which comes with the Ford 9 inch rear end. This 1957 Ford courier has a very solid body and has no signs of rust or patches on the underside of the vehicle. It has some bubbling of rust around the drip rails and a magnet was ran over the vehicle to check to make sure the car is solid. There is no signs of rust in unusual places. Motor is a 292 C.I. Y block all stock with 4 barrel. It has a three speed transmission with the optional overdrive. The interior of the car is very clean and the car is roadworthy as it sits. This 1957 Ford Courier is daily driven without issues. The Ford Courier design of the 78A were used in many different applications including every day use for the civilian population along with commercial applications and even used in the military as an ambulance. This ford Courier has been designated in the vin number as an S code car. Having the designation of the S code allows you to paint this car to any color that you want without being penalized if you were doing a full restoration. Due to the S code which designates “special” the color was not listed in the Vin number. This car runs and drives exceptionally well and has been upgraded to late model Ford Granada front disc brakes which is beneficial for stopping this heavy vehicle.
