1965 Ford Mustang Convertible

A triple-black 1965 Ford Mustang convertible is already an irresistible find. But as you dig deeper, you'll also discover a high level of investment over the past dozen years in the V8 and the suspension. That way this pony has earned its GT appearance. Wearing an updated coat of its factory-correct Raven Black, this droptop is drop-dead gorgeous. The paint was applied in 2005, and they paid for quality. So the light rolls evenly off the body and highlights very... straight sheetmetal. And all that dark treatment makes for a great backdrop for the bright trim. Everything from the large chrome bumpers, to the window surrounds, to the iconic corral grille have been given solid investments so they pop right off this deep and dark surface. And we know you love some of this speedy-style upgrades, like the GT-style fog lights, LED taillights, and GT-style trumpeted rear exhaust. And those dark Torq Thrust wheels with an aggressive 17-inch help clue people in on just how upgraded this convertible really is. Triple black means black exterior, black roof, and black interior. Not every Mustang can pull it off as nicely as this one does. In fact, take a look at the front seat. Yes, that's a split bench. The interior is originally black and it's a factory 76C bench (the rarest of all '65 Mustangs.) But it looks so good in this one that we won't tell it's secret if you won't. Not only does the bench look fresh, but so do the door panels, dash, and carpeting all look like there have been recent investments made, too. You have nice comfort features like a power convertible top, power steering, and Clarion system that control AM/FM/XM stereo as well as USB hookups for your modern music players. Plus, there are modern speakers so you can crisply cruise with your favorite tunes. But from the moment you twist the key, the roar of the V8 tells you this is a true driver's machine. The engine bay gives you a lot to look at with bright upgrades like the aluminum radiator and shining slats of the Cobra valve covers and matching air topper. More than just look great, this 289 cubic-inch V8 has had thousands $$$$ invested in fortifying and enhancing the motor for performance. This includes an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, ARP Rods Comp Cams camshaft, R&R bearings, R&R pistons, and a balanced rotating assembly. This V8 growls to life as the Magnaflow H-pipe dual exhaust gives this power package plenty of bass. Plus, the rebuilt C4 three-speed automatic transmission feeds a stout Ford 9-inch rear to make sure the power gets to the pavement. There has also been a solid investment in the suspension, including the upgrade to four-wheel disc brakes and the grip of modern ZR-rated tires. So this all-black Mustang is truly a powerful and poised dark horse. We have the owner's manual and all the build receipts to show you the big investment into this cool triple-black droptop â€" so call us for all the details. In fact, you might want to call just to make sure it's still here, because you know this is a deal that will be moving fast!
