FUEL-INJECTD LS3, 4L70E, FILE OF BUILD RCEIPTS, SHOW WINNER, HIGH-END CUSTM F100
1956 Ford F-100 Custom
Sometimes you just can instantly recognize when a build has the best of everything. This custom 1956 Ford F-100 has the paint, stance, suspension, luxury interior, and fuel-injected Corvette motor to be the best of everything. That's why there's only 75 miles on the build and it already has earned a best in show award.
The superior presentation of this truck starts with the paint. Black is notorious for showing off any shortcuts taken with a build. So when it's this butter-smooth, that means there was a ton of time and money invested in making sure the body was amazing before the first drop of paint went on top. And the black is part of $16k invested in the paint alone last year. The result is a deep and hard shine that makes this Ford look like it was formed from volcanic glass. Complementing this level of shine are the mirror-like chrome elements on the bumpers and the stylistic grille. And the Foose wheels not only add to the polished presentation, but also their 18/20-inch front/rear stagger help draw even more attention to this F-100's naturally forward leaning aggressive stance (and adjustable air bags really let you dial-in the intimidation factor.) And as people are checking out the cab, Ford enthusiasts will undoubtedly point out the desirable wraparound rear window option. In fact, this whole build is for lovers of details. There's something special from every angle with the clear blue-dot headlights, integrated side exhaust tips, flush-mounted rails on the wood truck bed, and frenched license plate on the tailgate. So yes, this is the cleanest and most thoughtful F-100 we've seen.
The ultra-smooth black continues inside, and now it's joined by a tasteful saddle brown. You know there are hardly any miles on this build when even the floor mats are intact in their protective wrap. 1950s trucks only had bench seats, so this keeps that attitude but upgrades it completely. The leather is supple, and the bolstering gives you a bucket-like level of comfort. Plus, the color is matched on the carpeting and custom door panels for a full uniform feeling. More investments in comfort mean all the right modern amenities like R134a air conditioning, power windows, and an AM/FM/CD/XM stereo that has Bluetooth, iPod input, and a full subwoofer stereo system neatly integrated into the interior design. When you slip into the driver's seat, the wood grain on the Budnik steering wheel seems like the perfect bridge between the interior black and brown. And the Dakota Digital gauge panel as the cool blue glow feels like a sign there's more modern under the hood.
The engine bay could win awards all on its own. The full polished package looks amazing as it radiates from the slick black engine bay. And the wood-like covers on the motor coordinate with the steering wheel and door trim on the inside so you know this was a fully coordinated build. And while they invested over $16k on the motor alone, it wasn't all about the flash. That's because this has the substance of modern LS3 power. Oh yeah, the same fuel-injected powerhouse that helped the C6 Corvette and fifth-gen Camaro SS reign supreme is now neatly under the hood of this classic pickup. And growl the header-fed dual exhaust lets everyone know this is a very mean and modem machine. With 430 horsepower on tap, the rest of the truck had to be upgraded, too. The 4L70E four-speed automatic transmission is the perfect pairing to be stout enough for performance driving, and it's also always ready to settle into overdrive cruising. This sits on a strong TCI chassis, which also includes a Mustang II-style independent front suspension with tubular A-arms. And the rear suspension keeps the rubber on the road with a triangulated four-link rear with adjustable coilovers. Add in power steering, a Wilwood four-wheel disc brake package, and wide Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires, and this vintage hauler is now a true handler.
There are so many details that went into this custom build that we just don't have the room to list them here. But gives us a call, and we'll got over the full file of build receipts. But of course, you already know this is an amazing custom build meant for someone who only demands the best. Is that you?
