A FANTASTIC VERY RARE 1962 FORD F250 CUSTOM CAB, FOUR WHEEL DRIVE.NOTE: I am so in love with this truck that I very well may pull it before it sells. I am really having second thoughts but we will see how it goes. There were less than 600 F250 4WD's produced in 1962 and I haven't verified but I am guess less than 300 were Custom Cab.
55,394 ORIGINAL Miles. Originally owned by California Parks & Wildlife from my understanding. Then used lightly on a California Ranch.
292 V8 Y-Block. 4 speed manual transmission. 4wd works.
NEW: Brakes, Exhaust, Shocks, Steering Pitman Arm, Tires, Oil Pump, Seat Cover (Original seat cover underneath), Door Seals, Stereo-Speakers, Horn and Turn Signal Assemblies. Runs fantastic. Everything works in this truck. Shifts great, Windows roll up very smoothly and tight. Great glass, only one very small chip in front windshield. Real eye-catcher in town. Paparazzi come out when I drive it into town.
Factory paint color - Holy Green. THIS IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL PAINT JOB, for its age and the fact that it is the original body -doors, fenders, hood, bed and tailgate, it is in great shape...seldom found in this condition. The back bed corners (caps) have very small rust holes, very typical of these 60's Fords. Bed and under carriage, chassis has been sealed. Hub Caps are a rarity to find.
Three Fuel Tanks. The two side tanks, I have never used and I would assume they need emptied and cleaned out. Just a fantastic truck that is very rare and an unbelievable find for the right person.
Truck height is FACTORY. A lot of folks ask if it has been lifted. No. Anyone who knows these 60's F250 4wd's, know that this is factory suspension and lift. Nothing has been modified on this truck. The two-piece original wheels were replaced with 16" solid one-piece wheels. Tires have less than 100 miles on them.
