1929 Ford Model A

First let me say that this is the cleanest, most innovative and well built roadster I have owned and there have been a few. In fact, it is one of the nicest I have ever seen and as the mileage can attest to, this is no trailer queen. Built by Kevin and Randy Gribble at Lake City Rod and Custom in SD this car is simply a work of art from the rather unusual four corner quarter elliptic suspension to the awesome interior and weather equipment by Preusser Upholstery. Every time you look at this thing you see another innovative item to smile about. The only changes made recently by myself is a new Super Bell axle/steering to raise the car a couple of inches. The roads in NY are more like Baja than Bonneville and that was a necessary change. The body is a real 29 with 2" lengthened doors, aluminum hood and carbon fiber hand made nose. This is all mounted on a much modified 32 frame using internally mounted quarter elliptic springs on the mentioned SuperBell axle and 9" Ford 3.50 rear. Engine is a built 283 with aluminum heads, 288H Comp Cam, roller rockers, Mallory/MSD, Edelbrock intake, Holley 770 Street Avenger w/pressure regulator and all AN fittings. Headers are Sanderson stainless full length to 2.5 exhaust and Flowmasters. Clutch is a 10.5 to a BW T5 with aftermarket shifter and vintage Hurst handle, Willwood hydraulic mater and slave and starter is a mini. Radiator and electric fan by Flowcooler along with a mechanical fan. The internal body is coated with Dynamat, stereo is Alpine remote, heater is Tropic Air along with heated seats. Wiring is handled by Ron Francis, 40 dash by Dakota Digital featuring a GPS speedometer and the steering is F100 cowl conversion. The interior, again by Preusser, is simply perfect and includes a beautiful cloth top, bows that mount on holders in the trunk when not in use, glass rear window and two tonneau covers, one full with zipper, one half and a nice set of snap in side windows. Another amazing piece of work are the leather padded covers for the top, windows, top bows and side bows when not in use. All of this fits nicely in the truck leaving room for a few other things for the trip. Nerf bars front, rear and on the side are all chrome as is the semi hidden 1.25 trailer hitch. The builder has supplied a huge folder with just about every brand and part number one would need to maintain this car. Many will know how important this is. This 29 was a featured car in March 17 Street Scene and can also be had with the original Coker tires shown in that issue in lieu of the installed AR wheels/Cooper tire combo. I had no plans to make this car available for sale so soon as it is a hoot to drive but circumstances have changed and rather than store it for the next year I thought I would put it out there just once. This is not a fire sale and it will not be a hardship to park it if necessary. Starting bid is the bottom dollar, low ballers save your dime, and this is a no reserve auction. Title is a NYS transferable registration/title in my name and there will be absolutely no test pilots or warranty. I will answer any and all intelligent questions by email. Thanks
