1966 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE A-CODE 289 4V SURVIVOR
This car was purchased new by a friend of mine for his wife in Charlotte,N.C. 20+ miles from our town.It has spent it's whole life here in Monroe driving the same streets for over 50 years.All the paint is original with the exception of the hood and drivers front fender which were damaged when the car was left out of gear and rolled down a hill into a tree.There are some minor rust issues but otherwise the car is solid.Floors were replaced with factory floors from a parts coupe.The engine was swapped for a fresh rebuilt 289 out of a 1966 coupe some years back.The new motor has zero hours of street time.The car runs and drives around the farm but will require some TLC.Here is a list of the NEW parts recently purchased to bring the car back into focus.Fuel tank and line to original carb,..carb rebuilt,new distributor,brake lines,master cylinder,carpet,front and rear seat covers(rear seat cover NIB not installed),front seat backs(NIB not installed)front seat foam,kick pannels(NIB not installed)trunk mat,Dashboard(factory Ford tooled)...sure i'm forgetting something.The front seat frames were sandblasted,primed,painted correctly.Car has a newer exhaust system.
I have some family issues and need to put together some cash fast or else I would finish this car and keep it.The original owner is available for questions.He and I have done the majority of the work.
