chose to relist these roadster mirrors in the 'cars & trucks / ford / bronco' section so the larger bronco community could find and see these mirrors.
they were in the 'parts & accessories' tucked away deep into the 'mirror' section and was too hard for these special mirrors to find there new owner : )
so sorry for the confusion, here are the mirrors offered again:
up 4 auction, is a unique rare pair of 1968 Roadster mirror assemblies. The roadster is not for sale, just the 2nd pair of mirrors that I have.
awhile back I needed 2 of these rare mirror assemblies to complete my 1968 Roadster restoration.
with a huge strike of luck, I not only found 2 but I found a group of 4 in a large batch of n.o.s ford bronco items that I bought.
of the pieces bought, I used 2 of the 4 set ups to complete a nice n.o.s set on my 68 Roadster.
leftover, I have the complete post assemblies minus that little black gasket pad on the end of one of the 5" post and the end of the two 18" post, you can see it missing in the pic. A crafted piece of rubber or plastic can be made pretty easily to take the place of the missing black gasket/grommet pads.
Also missing are the 'two' curved 'dual screw hole'backing plates but I included a 'single' curved
'four screw hole' backing plate taken from another single post roadster mirror. The included backing plate just needs to be cut exactly down the middle to be used as 'factory correct' (see sample in the original ford bronco roadster mounting instructions diagram - I.S.3069)
the mirrors are in great shape, the post are in great shape, there is a tiny bit of paint scuff or scratch on parts of the posts but for the most part they are very clean and original.
the mirror heads measure - 5"x8"
the posts measure - 18" / 11" / 5" eye to eye
all pieces are n.o.s. with original paint in which I believe is Wimbledon White
looking for a good home on an original 1968 U13 Roadster.
easily could be used on a 1966 / 1967 Roadster or even on any 1966-1977 Bronco if chosen to ; (
i really hope there is someone out there with a 1968 Roadster that is in need of these cuz that is where they belong.
