Here is your only opportunity to purchase a 1 out of 1 collectible Mustang from the original owner, so if you're a true Mustang enthusiast, feel free to read the full story that featured this car in February's edition of Mustang Monthly from 1995. In essence, through 1991-1993, only 62 Mustang SAAC vehicles were built, including the prototypes. Only 11 of those Mustangs were equipped with the Vortech supercharger. And, only 4 of those 11 were convertibles. Out of those 4, this is the only red convertible with white leather interior. Interestingly, during the time these Mustangs were produced, Shelby had a contract with Chrysler (remember those anemic Daytona's?) and SAAC came up with the "Super Snake" moniker for these cars. Rick bought a Mustang LX with the limited edition Performance Red Mustang package and only 2,019 of these were produced for Ford. This SAAC Mustang is from a private collection and was stored in a climate controlled environment since brand new. She only has 1,478 miles and is in 100% original and 100% perfect condition. Upgrades performed by SAAC by the request of the owner Rick Motley included the following: - 8 psi Vortech Supercharger
- 160 degree thermostat
- SAAC valve covers to match the paint
- SAAC intake top plate
- #4 oil cap
- #4 dash plate
- SVO ceramic coated headers
- Borla exhaust system
- Centerforce clutch
- Hurst shifter
- 3.55:1 rear gears
- Koni adjustable shocks
- 17" Simmons wheels
- Goodyear ZR tires (still like new!)
- Suspension and handling upgrades
- SAAC leather upholstery (seats, armrest covers, door panels, shift boot)
- Chassis stiffening brace
Please, no low balls offers, as this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy a 1 out of 1 Mustang for a true enthusiast who understands the rarity, prominence and value of this car. I've seen a couple SAAC Mustangs go up for bid, but never a convertible or supercharged version. And at 49K, you'll be buying both and the good fortune to own it for your collection. Please keep in mind that this is a no reserve auction and your bid is a legally binding agreement to purchase the vehicle. If you make a bid, I'll assume that you've inspected the car, asked the significant other and have funds available. Also, ask any and all questions before making a bid, as I want to make sure you know everything you need to before making your decision.I've had a couple of curmudgeons who wanted to renegotiate after the sale and then left me with negative feedback, so please be sure that you are aware of the eBay rules and my auction guidelines, as she is being soldAS ISwith no warranties expressed or implied. That written, feel free to have the Mustang inspected or come by to check it out, as I'm sure you'll be very impressed. Alas, I do not want the car taken out for test drives, as I'd like to keep the mileage low and the SAAC out of the hands of those who want to go for a joy ride. If you're truly serious about the car, I can certainly set up an appointment to take you for a short trip and go through the gears. I do reserve the right to end the auction early, if an interested party wants to purchase the car at a mutually agreeable price. The buyer will be responsible for having the Mustang shipped and I'll be happy to work with the shipper, take pictures and make sure it is thoroughly inspected before it is put on the hauler. Anonrefundable$1,000 deposit will be due via Paypal within 24 hours of the auction end and full payment in the form ofclearedcertified check, clearedwire transfer or cash in person by 3 days with no exceptions. Lastly, don't worry about me sticking you with extra processing fees, paperwork costs and other bloated additions to the cost of the Mustang. I have a clean, signed title and the price you bid will be the price you pay other than any Secretary of State costs incurred such as title/registration/plate transfer and/or MI taxes (if you live in Michigan). If you have a negative feedback rating or less than 10 eBay transactions, please contact me before you bid. Also, if you're from out of the country, contact me before you bid, as the only item I've shipped overseas was a Studebaker motor and that was a hassle! That written, I will work with you if you are outside the U.S. and want to have the Mustang shipped to your neck of the world. Thank you! |
