1968 Ford Mustang

I purchased this car two years ago from a widow in California whose husband had started the transformation of a 6cyl conv to a KR500 clone. He spent over twenty years of his life and never was able to finish the car. I am a avid Mustang owner and restorer and knew I would never have a chance to work on a real one of these and mechanically this car was all done. He put in a custom built 351 C 4BB with the big ford heads. It was complete rebuilt but never run. When I got it he had put correct 15in disc brakes, 9in rear end, new interior shelby style with embroirdered console. It has automatic transmission new front springs and suspension. I converted a manual top to power but I have never run the top motor to the power switch. It has correct shelby parts all around fiberglass hood, with correct pins, rear spoiler with tail lites, side scoops, correct new wheels, nice tires, new convertible top. I had carb rebuild, new plugs, wires timing and car runs and drives like the true muscle car he wanted it to be. Nice new dual exhaust makes car sound great too. I had show quality paint job completed and completely reassembled the car. I battled cancer in between this project but I completed it last fall put 200-300 miles on it and it is now ready to give someone lots of fun and attention. I don't know exactly how much he spent on this car but what he di, he did a very nice not corner cutting job. The radio and temp gauge do not work and i don't have the ability to connect. Please ask questions before you bid you are welcome to come and see and drive the car. I do believe this car could be driven home to anywhere and you could have the drive of a lifetime. I will assist with shipping at new owners expense. This was a good car to start with you can tell by the underside pictures. Drivers torque box was repaired, and rear passenger floot pan replaced. All frame rails front and rear are original trunk floors, feners, doors, I think he might have skinned the quarters but can not tell for sure. He did that nice of a job. Gaps are nice door, fender, hood, probably fits better than most real kr 500's. You can not build one for even close for I will sell it for. It was a fun project for me but it is now time for it to move on.
