1965 Ford Mustang

Please read and understand ad BEFORE bidding! I will answer any and all questions honestly to the best of my ability.

You are bidding on a very original and complete 1965 Mustang Convertible 200 CID 6 Cylinder with a 3 spd Manual Transmission.This car has been in Northern VA its entire life.I acquired it from a “Chevy Guy” who purchased from the second owner who had had it since the early nineties.According to him the car has been garaged since then and perhaps its entire life.I was going to do a V8 conversion but have a Fastback project waiting and don’t have time for both.

The BODY is extremely solid and has very little rust.This is probably due to the undercoating.I have poked and chipped away at the undercoating and only found one spot at the driver rear outer wheel well where there is a small rust hole.The rest appears to have preserved the body well.It was color changed to red from the original Raven Black in the 80’s.The doors are very good with solid bottoms but may need a bottom corner patch.Hood is excellent.It has lower quarter patches on both sides that have minor rust bubbling at the very bottom.The Drivers torque box needs the lower panel patched the rest are solid.The floorpans are original and only the Passenger front appears to need repair.You could get away with an outer ¼ or ½ panel.The rockers are solid!Door gaps are good.The Top MAY be original.It is clearly old but does not have any holes and looks OK.

DRIVETRAIN is intact and works properly.Engine starts on a key bump and has new carburetor, starter, starter cable, plugs, radiator cap, fuel and air filters.Fluid have been changed.It also has e new clutch.It shifts and drives very well.

ELECTRICAL all works.Gauges lights etc…

SUSPENSION appears stock but it does have newer shocks and recent brake work.
