Up for auction as part of anestate is aone of a kind 1940 ford coupe that has been stretched andwidened to be installed on a 1988 Lincoln MarkVchassis with less then 27,000 original miles on theLincoln. I will do my best to describe but please contact me with any questions you may have and I will get the answers. I want to start by saying that there was over a hundred thousand dollars spent on this street rod, ealso know that we will never get close to gettingthat money back the reserve is set not even any where close to that so the car will sell.
The exterior of the carwas paint with a DuPont Chrome Illusion paint that was extremely popular at the time and extremely expensive to paint with. The body is as straight as an arrow. The interior is the original interior from the Lincoln with all the original components. Power seats,steering, unroof, oor locks and windows. The seats were not dyedthe car wassentto a local upholstery shop and all interior wascustom made.
The drive train is all original to the Lincoln 5.0 engine fuel injected. The car runs and drives as good as it looks it's a blast to drive 4 wheel disc brakes A/C the hood flips up. The doors all open with a switch that is located under the running board you use your foot to activate the switch. The trunk is fully hydraulic. Thereare lights that change colorshidden underthe hood. The car was builtaround 10 years ago and storedin climate controlled show room part of a large collection. I'm sure that I forgot a lot to mention about this car so please ask questions.
