Description:
1963 Ford Galaxie 500
Very nice driver quality original black on black. South Carolina car, no rust issues. Car has original sheet metal including floors and trunk. Total restoration a few years ago, runs and drives great. I bought it to make an R code 427 clone, but haven't done it. This is not a pristine show car as paint and trim have some flaws, but it is very presentable. Cragar wheels have a little surface rust.Original Z code 390 4v, with a later close ratio toploader 4 speed. Trans code is 1 so it was originally a 3 speed car, but column has been changed to a floor shift one. Runs fantastic with factory style dual exhaust. There is a minor oil leak from the back of the intake manifold. Rear differential is factory 9 inch open with 3.50 gear ratio. Tires are 15 inch and are in very good condition. Original refurbished manual steering and brakes. Drives and stops very good and straight. Nice restored interior and trunk, and clean engine compartment. All lights, turn signals, fuel gauge and heat work. Original radio and engine temp do not. I added an aftermarket oil pressure gauge that reads good pressure.
Serious inquiries please respond for more pictures or info. I encourage anyone to inspect the car before bidding. I have only driven the car 200 miles in the 18 months I've owned it. Selling to find a big block Mustang project. Buyer is responsible for transporting the car with their own insurance. Paypal is ok for a deposit, but full payment must be made before I release the car and title. This may include several business days for any type of check to fully clear. Thanks.
