Description:
1948 Ford Sedan None
1948 Ford Sedan Gasser (Street Car)Back up for sale again!!
48 Chopped Sedan body, chop job was done correctly. It has a good paint job, straight body, however there's several chips and scratches from misc. garage items bumping into the car. It's very solid, including floors. There's not much of an interior. I have original front and rear bench seats. It's missing the passenger side vent window but I have the glass.
I bought the car as a fresh painted shell 2 years ago. I front halved the frame rails with 2x4 box tubing, removed the original cross member and ran 2x2 box tubing for trans cross member and frame support, as well as driveshaft hoop. The remainder of the frame has been boxed and reinforced. Most of everything welded on this car has been TIG welded. Every hole in the firewall has been welded closed, and heat shielding applied to the inside.
*Front suspension is parallel leaf and an original Ford F1 straight axle. It has ford spindles, new king pins and bushing kit, and Speedway front disc brake conversion. Original column and manual steering box all rebuilt.
*Rear axle is a late model ford 8.8 with limited slip diff, 31 spline axles, new calipers, rotors pads, and 3.73 gears, all new bearings and seals.
*4 wheel power disc brakes. Every inch of the brake system is new. Booster, Master cylinder, pedal assembly, 50/50 proportioning valve, and copper nickel lines.
*EZ wiring harness, 21 circuit. The car is fully wired and functioning, lights, signals, power windows, etc. The wiring was done correctly. Every single connection has been soldered and and heat shrunk, no crimped connections. There's still several more circuits left that have been neatly and safely secured for future add-ons.
*Gauges include: Innovative Wide band o2 senor, Fuel pressure, fuel level, coolant temp, oil pressure, tach, and speedo. Speedo not hooked up yet.

This car is raw and fun as hell to drive. You'll have endless thumbs up wherever you go. Despite the interior being unfinished the car is very drivable as is, and frankly it adds to the feel of the car. Don't be fooled the 355 engine is a screamer and makes this car more than fast for the street, however it isn't too radical for around town and highway cruising. The 3.73's and 31" tires make for nice cruising speeds. Throw a cage and swap the gears out and you'll have an awesome track car. Also, I would like to add that the motor is tuned well and not a fume bomb inside or around the car while idling, even with the extension pipes. The engine runs nice and cool in traffic @ 180-190 deg. The engine and car have around 300-400miles on them.
Clean NJ title in my name. Priced to sell $13,700 or reasonable offer.
