Up for auction AT NO RESERVEis my California fresh 1988 Mustang Saleen - #187. I am the third owner of this Saleen which sold new at Citrus Motors in Ontario, California to a JJ Westra, a local Dairy Farmer. The Saleen spent the first 9 years of its life roaming the streets of Ontario. In 1997 Mr. Westra and the Saleen relocated to Fresno, California.In 2003, with 122,809 miles on the odometer, a good friend of mine purchased the car from Mr. Westra.For the next 15 years the car sat tucked away in my buddy's garage.In early 2017 I purchased the car from my buddy, the odometer read 123,100.291 miles and a new clutch in 14 years!

The car is listed in the Saleen registry (owner is listed as JJ Westra) and is very well documented with service records and original manuals. A California car since new the Saleen still sports original paint and decals, and ALL its original Saleen accessories including the stereo and equalizer!

If you have watched the popularity of Fox body Mustangs soar you have also noticed nice, unmolested cars are becoming difficult to find.With a total production of only 708 in 1988, finding an original Fox body Saleen from that era is even a bigger challenge.

Showing 123,216 miles, most all logged by the original owner, this 3 owner California Saleen is perfect for those weekend drives.I have owned the car for just under a year and have enjoyed taking it to cruise night, Saturday coffee and Sunday breakfast.Unlike my older muscle cars, I can jump in the Saleen, turn on the air, set the cruise and enjoy a worry free ride!

Interior - 100% original and in great shape.No tears, cracks or funky smells.One look at the interior and you can see the car has been cared for!

Electronics and Accessories - All electronics and accessories are operational with the exception of the passenger's power door lock and stereo.The stereo plays through the left speakers only and when driving will crackle.I believe there are some loose connections that need to be taken care of.As far as the door lock, the passenger's side door must be manually locked.

Mechanical - The car runs and drives great and is as tight as can be!Driving a Saleen Mustang itfeels like you are on rails and this car is no exception!The Saleen pulls hard, shifts smoothly and stops straight.No rattles, grinds, squeaks or pops!The Saleen has a new clutch, gas tank, fuel pump, rear shocks and tires.It is ready to go!As far as leaks, drips and slobbers, the car does have one very minor oil drip - It will leave about a quarter sized spot of oil on the ground in about a week's time.

Paint/Body and Glass-The paint and body are original.All factory tags are in place (core support, hood front fenders, rear quarters etc.).No accidents,no repaint and absolutely NO RUST EVER!All body lines are good and doors open and close nicely.Paint has good shine and looks great but does have minor imperfections that should be expected on a 29 year old car.All the decals are intact with the windshield decal and production number (187) showing some age cracking.
