1968 Ford Torino GT Convertible
1968 Ford Torino ConvertibleIn the mid 60s the term full-size meant "FULL" size and mid-sized meant not as big, and that's where the Ford Torino fit into the lineup. Not so big as to require a harbor pilot's license to guide it down the street but big enough to put a few friends in it and enjoy a drive-in movie. Not including those in the trunk. To spice things up the powers that be at Ford created the Torino performance and trim package to compliment the sleek lines of the sheet metal. This one is powered by the correct C Code 200 horse 289 V-8 Engine and a Cruise-O-Matic transmission with column shift and a 2.79 open 8 inch rear end. The black bucket seats are in great shape. This is one is a nicely optioned convertible with a power top, steering and the right engine along with it being in a great color combination. The 2 barrel 289 runs smooth and has complete correct single exhaust system. The top works great and it goes down the road like you would expect it to. The power steering adds to the driving pleasure along with the stylish Chrome GT Wheels and radial tires for a look and road feel that make set it apart. Finished in correct and complimenting interior it looks great too.Features • the C code 289 V8 with 2V Carb • Correct smooth shifting Cruise-O-Matic • Factory AM Radio in the dash • Performance Tuned Mellow Exhaust • Smooth and Effortless Power Steering • Finished in Freshly Buffed and Waxed Royal Maroon, the paint is a little older but in very good shaper. • Newer Power Black Vinyl Top with a crystal-clear plastic rear window • Immaculate Black Bucket Seat Interior • Full Length lower body Black GT Stripes • Safety Guard Padded Dash along with Front and Rear Seat Belts • Factory Instrumentation, wheel lip trim, very good chrome and stainless • Dual outside Chrome Rear View Mirror and Day Night Interior Rear View • Optional 14 inch GT Chrome Wheels with newer 225/70R14 RWL Radials • Sweet leather wrapped 3 spoke Steering Wheel with Torino GT horn button • Detailed Engine Bay with original Trunk Mat and newer Spare with jackWe sell a lot of Mustangs, but rarely see a Torino GT convertible, especially in this kind of shape!
