Description:

1969 Ford Mustang

1969 Mustang Fastback on professionally built full length fabricated frame similar to Art Morrison's offerings. TCI coil over front end with power steering, disk brakes and adjustable coil overs. Rear is a streetable four link with a custom fabricated 9" housing with 31 spline axles and coil overs. Frame and suspension is complete and ready to roll but for porder coating and the third member (9" center section) and rear disk brakes.
1 1/4" chrome molly cage tucked up to the ceiling so as to be invisible from outside of the car. All beautifully Tig welded professionally. Cage ties into the floors and the full frame.
Full fabricated floor. Mini tubs in rear need to be completed--mini tub kit included.
New: quarter panels, doors, both front fenders, (No hood), valance panel, cowl and firewall: all professionally done and its obvious.
TCI front suspension is set up for Coyote engine with automatic transmission and power steering.
Engine is a Coyote 5.0 out of a 2016 Mustang with 430 factory horses with less than 18k miles. Transmission is the 4R70E automatic (the 2016 Mustang transmissions are VERY wide and require a huge tunnel to accommodate).
Engine wiring is brand new, never opened FORD RACING stand alone ECU, harness and pedal kit for the 2016 5.0 Mustang Coyote with either manual transmission. In my set up the ECU will be used as a manual transmission set up. The 4R70E is controlled by its own stand alone, programable computer: Transmission and stand alone computer and wiring harness included.
Wheels are brand new WELD Racing front and rear with brand new tires all around (over $3K).
I have the rear side glass and rear glass no front windshield.
Flaming River Stainless tilt column not installed. Billet steering wheel and hub also not installed.
Ground up build: no title--I will issue a bill of sale. I am a licensed attorney registered with the State Bar of Arizona.
The car comes with a bill of sale only along with receipts for various components and work done.
The hardest parts of this build have been done. Needs finishing.
To get it running, among other misc. things, will require a radiator with electric cooling fans and either the factory apron or a custom one such as Martz tubular set up--my intended route. The transmission is not installed but that is not difficult as it is complete with appropriate flywheel, all bolts and starter: the transmission and fly wheel bolts up directly to the Coyote 5.0 with no issue. Moreover, the frame is designed for the 4R70 transmission with appropriate mounting platform already installed. A Lokar shifter or similar set up is also needed.
The Fastback will need an EFI pump and fuel lines to the engine. Brake lines will need to be routed. Included in the sale is a Mustang hydraulic master cylinder complete with all hoses. Vintage Air makes a mounting kit that uses these older Mustang hydraulic master cylinders (such as the one I have) along with Vintage Air's air conditioning compressor and it mounts in factory locations to the Coyote 5.0. You get AC and hydraulic power steering. The kit is $1200.00.
I have the rear drive line that came with the transmission. It will need to be modified to mate with the yoke at the third member.
I have all the steering linkage (Borgson) but it is not installed. The Flaming River, stainless tilt column will need to mounted through the fire wall--a 2" hole saw accomplishes this. I have the interior (passenger compartment side) and exterior (engine side) Flaming River lower column mounts to secure the lower half of the column, as well as the factory mounts to secure the upper column to the Fastback factory dash (also included). After that its a simple matter of connecting the steering rod, steering u joint and coupler to the power rack and pinion arm.
Wiring the transmission should take half an hour at most. Plug and play. Engine wiring takes about the same amount of time: plug and play. The Ford Racing harness kit I have even comes with the drive by wire pedal: mount the pedal, plug in the harness and you are done.
As you can see from the pictures of the build the car was media blasted and the factory floor removed. The frame was professionally built on a jig platform. Once the frame was completed, and whilestill on the jig platform, the body was positioned and grafted on. The body sits approximately 1 5/8" lower on the frame vs a factory floor Mustang. This gives the illusion that the car is lowered: it is not. The suspension is at a ride height similar to NASCAR--no worries going into steepdriveways or speed bumps.
WHO BUILT THIS CAR?
  • The media blasting was done by GT Performance Coatings in Michigan. It was an 8 hour job. The body was blasted 360 degrees inside and out. Withreceipt (approx. $1400.00).
  • The full frame, suspension, floor and all chassis work was done by Eliminator Kustoms in Grand Blanc, Mi.
  • Front end suspension/steering components are made by Total Cost Involved and installed by Eliminator Kustoms. With receipts (approximately $4300.00 in parts alone).
  • All of the body work (custom fire wall, cowl, quarters, etc was performed by MMC Collision & Restoration in Daviso, Mi. Receipt totals almost 5K. See: MichiganMuscleCarsinc.com
  • There is over 25k in the full frame chassis and rearsuspension. The least expensive full frame on the market is Schwartz Chassis. A similarly designed frame from Schwartz runs in excess of $15,500.00 and they use a thinner, tubular frame that is more of a supplement to the Mustang's unibody platform. My car sits on afull frame that would make a NASCAR driver proud. In addition, Schwartz' rear axle offering is nothing special. My rear axle is fully fabricated and designed for the frame. My frame also hasexhausts holes to keep the exhaust high and tight and clean. In sum, my frame is more inline with the Art Morrison offerings.
    Misc extras:
Lokar foot articulated parking brake.Billet (leather wrapped) steering wheel.Aluminum fuel cell.Other things Ican't recall at the moment.
When this Fastback is completed it will be a six digit car.
Down payment is due IMMEDIATELY and the balance in cash or wiretransferwithin 72 hours. Buyer can have up to two weeks to make pick uparrangements. Once the Fastback's payment in full is completed it is the buyer'sresponsibility to arrange for any insurance. Mustang is stored in my secure garage.
My reserve is 28k. I am willing to sell the car without the drive train and associated parts to the winning bidder for 5k less than the winning price. Winning bidder has 48 hours from auctions end to advise on this option.
If you wish to view the car you must do so BEFORE the auction ends.
