This 1949 Ford F-3 blends the very best of old-school looks on the outside extra comfort on the inside and a powerful V8 upgrade under the hood. While they all have a basic industrial attractiveness this example is definitely a cut-above because of its clean looks great color and custom touches. At first glance you'll think it's a gorgeous purple but if you look closely you'll see highlights of blue the paint is actually called Concord Blue. In person though it definitely looks more of a purple color. The cab and bed are the original Henry Ford steel but the fenders and running boards were replaced with a fiberglass product to help accommodate the massive rear tires and new mustang front sub frame. Inside the engine bay you'll find a 400 cubic inch V8 that has been bored to a 406ci V8. The engine features a Accel Distributor Holley 4-bbl carburetor chrome pulleys High Rise intake Edelbrock Performer RPM Aluminium heads and vintage air. The engine has roughly 8000 car show miles on it and has never been raced at the strip. Although with the build of the engine and the size of those 33x21.5 rear Mickey Thompsons we'd love to see what it would do! Mated to the engine is a 4L60 4-speed automatic transmission with a 2000RPM stall converter that sends power to a 10-bolt rear end. The gorgeous blue/purple is accented by a custom leather bucket seat interior that features a custom console VDO gauges power windows Hurst reverse lockout ratchet shifter and a AM/FM/CD Player with excellent speakers.
