The body is ALL STEEL, with a factoryFordbed and a honey oak bed floor. The hood has been filled and peaked, along with the cab. The lines on the cab, line up with the V-butted windshield, which line up with the hood. It's symmetry, baby!
The front fenders are rolled to fit the lowered front end with the running boards sitting high and true. The spare tire divot was removed from the rear fender, and both the rear fenders smoothed. A custom rear roll pan mounts frenched LED tail lights with a hidden license plate mount. The gas tank and sending unit is a brand new steel assembly. The tailgate is embossed "FordV8" with hidden latches. The body has been finished in proper SATIN BLACK single-stage paint (not exposed primer that chalks). The truck was the right amount of bling with NOS chrome headlight surrounds with integrated park/turn lights.
The chassis is custom using a Mustang II front suspension with vented disc brakes and rack and pinion steering setup with proper geometry. The rear is aFord9-inch spring-under rearend with a custom shock crossover. The power brakes and booster are a hidden Kugel setup, along with the wiring and brake tubes. Peacock Blue steelies and new Goodyear Eagle tires connect the chassis to the road. The chassis is Rock solid and drives straight and true.
Inside, custom upholstered bench seat in matching FORD blue fits the cab, along with a tilt steering column controlling turn signals, hazards and horn. The dash mounts a proper headlight switch for park lights and headlights. The dash has been smoothed and a lower extension added for vents and stereo. A Chevelle SS steering wheel is comfortable in your hand with your arm on the door while you cruise down Main Street.
The powertrain is done right with ALL FORD:Fordengine in aFordtruck, rockin' aFord289 K-code V8 with a C6 automatic transmission. A Lokar floor shifter controls the tranny, while your right foot on a Lokar throttle controls the power.
Ready to cruise.
