1931 Ford Model A Pickup

The 1931 Ford Model A pickup (82-B) was a popular style because it combined the comfort of Ford's main sedan with truck usability. Today that diverse spirit lives in this example with its exceptionally well restored body and period correct motor. You know it would be an attraction at any vintage car show, truck show, or even parade.
The bold red paint looks great with the black fenders. This nice glossy finish looks very period-correct. It's part of a careful restoration that made sure it's a great standout package no matter if it's in the car show sunlight or indoors in your garage. Plus, this one looks almost like a tri-tone vehicle with the wire wheels correctly painted in yellow. We also love this Model A, because it showcases the older style craftsmanship in places like the wooden bed rails. While the pickup was one of the most utilitarian of the Model As, it did come with the fender-mounted spare wire wheel, which was usually reserved for the Deluxe Ford models. Above all else, you're going to enjoy this pickup because it receives the right investments. So the doors close snugly, it has a nicely aligned hood, and it just feels sturdy like a pre-WWII Ford should.
Step inside, and it feels like a time machine to 1931. That's because all the major components feel correct and like-new, including the seat cover, door panels, and rubber floor mat. Even the red dash looks freshly painted. This carries the correct later design that gave the center instrument panel more real estate and an interesting textured feel. Speaking of texture, there's no better feeling out there than grabbing an older four-spoke steering wheel and the sensation of having history literally in your hands.
All Model As, even the trucks, got the same torquey 200 cubic inch four-cylinder engine. That means maintenance is easier that you would think on an 85+ year-old pickup. This kind of parts availability meant they were able to properly locate everything need to get the motor looking this fantastic today. After all, if you're aim was to have a Model A that was as period-correct as possible, while still being exceptionally functional, there is no better one than this. All the correct equipment is there from the copper plug leads, to the 6V generator, to the right shade of Ford Green on the block. It even has the updraft carburetor in place. But the when you look at the belt, hose, and even the undercarriage, it has the freshness that gives you the confidence to lead the parade route. The three-speed manual transmission is light and easy to master with a quick double-clutch, and the four-wheel mechanical brakes are surprisingly effective with the Model A's light weight. You'll find that this pickup keeps up with local traffic easily, and cruises happily on those cool reproduction Firestone whitewalls.
The sale comes complete with restoration receipts, owner's manual, service manuals, and plenty of spare components car cover, taillights, wiring looms, etc. If you've wanted a 1930s pickup that was ready to impress on day one, this is it. So don't let this opportunity pass you by. Call now!
