Description:
1947 Ford Other Wood chrome metal
Great start to a really cool car, this woodies metal vertually has no rust except as pictured the inside rocker panels has some on the edges but besides that everything is straight and solid, the leather top is in mint condition, the interior has been redone, all the glass is in great shape, 95% of all the chrome is there and in fairly descent shape, this car was shipped to Subic Bay Phillipines in 1947 brand new to a service member, I don't know what became of the original owner but the vehicle literally sat in storage for decades, I do know in 1980s someone pulled the original drive train and front end out of it and put a small block Chevy 305 and Chevy 350 trams and rear end in it though, also all the original wood paneling was replaced, unfortunately the door handles and latches were never installed, along with a few other pieces like the windshield wipers, visors, horn knob and rear door hardware, I can refer any interested parties a man in Arizona has every piece you could need for this wagon, the car went back into a storage unit for the next 35 years and sat until I discovered it a couple years back, of coarse I fell in love with it and shipped it back home to were she started from, I came to realize I probably will not have time to work on her, so I have decided to pass the torch,Keep in mind this car is not a turn key operation as the vehicle has a strong motor but it will need some tinkering to run properly, I do know the alternator is not charging, but it starts right up, the rear brakes have some issues, drivers side rear brake is leaking brake fluid, the rear main seal is leaking, the radiator isn't holding pressure, the shifter linkage needs adjustment, all the weld spots for the motor swap could be redone, the wiring is kind of hodgepodge, but besides that it is a cool looking ride. That's if your gonna keep the same motor and teams, I was suggested putting a Chevy 350 in it or putting the original flathead back in it, but I just don't have time to do anything with her and she's been sitting around for decades so here goes, good luck to all! I have put a low reserve on the vehicle
