1973 Ford Bronco - Restored

Price: - Item location: Roanoke, Virginia, United States
Description:

1973 Ford Bronco

I purchased as a rolling chassis with unpainted fiberglass body and restored in 2009.

Work done by previous owner:

  • Rebuilt transmission C4

  • Rebuilt 302 engine with mild cam (had not been started)

  • Epoxy coated frame

  • Added dual shock mounts in front and back

  • All new stock brakes drum (rear) and disk (front)

  • New warn lockout hubs and new bushings front to back with 1.5" suspension lift

Restoration done by me:

  • Bed-lined inside and bottom of tub as well as inside fenders

  • Purchased new front inner fenders

  • Purchased and powder coated radiator support

  • Purchased early model doors with removal window frames

  • Gutted doors and welded window slot (door handle on inside opens doors)

  • Used stainless hinges that allow you to lift off doors with the plan to buy a second full set of doors and hardtop to run in the winter (never did, but everything is in place for future owner to do if wanted)

  • Added bikini top

  • Powder-coated grill silver and painted green to match the body

  • Hood is fiberglass with stainless hinge

  • Added floor shifter for C4 and dual levers for transfer case

  • Powder coated seat frames/springs with new foam and upholstery

  • New brake booster/master cylinder

  • New chrome bumpers

  • All new lights/lenses

  • Old school polished aluminum centerline wheels powder-coated clear

  • New 35" Bridgestone tires

The only thing not working properly is the radio. It cuts in and out - is probably a ground wire issue.

Everything was restored or replaced from top to bottom - it is very possible I missed something in my list. Engine runs strong, have not had it off road, just driven it to cruise ins with family. Its hasn't been driven more than 2000 miles since being restored in 2009, and it has always been garaged when not on the road.

I hate to sell it, but I have two children in college and it has to go.
