1965 CUSTOM BUILT FORD MUSTANG FASTBACK

This 1965 Custom built Ford Mustang Fastback is the ultimate show stopper! She's beautiful, fast, loud, comfortable, and will leave no head unturned.

This one of a kind was built in Canfield Ohio by Buckeye Classic Car Restoration to showcase and highlight the high end work we are capable of accomplishing. This is a brand new build from the ground up. From the brake system to the dome lights, every piece for this car was hand selected for premium quality and appearance.

Engine

This Mustang is powered by a stroked 306 cubic inch, 400 horse power blueprint crate engine. Blueprint engines has been in business over 20 years and holds outstanding reputation in the muscle car industry, which is backed by their 30 month/ 50,000 mile warranty. Feeding this powerhouse are dual Edelbrock carburetors pushing a total of 1000 CFM. Boosting those Edelbrock carbs high into the sky is an Edelbrock dual carburetor manifold. Behind these carbs is an Aerolite fuel cell, which is produced to look like an original mustang fuel tank. The ignition system by Pertronix gives this car its powerful spark. The entire package is cooled by a C&R Racing four core aluminum radiator, custom built for this application. A pair of short tube JBA headers allows this engine to breathe freely, giving you optimum performance. We replaced the outdated v-belt system with a brand new serpentine system from All American Billet.

Drivetrain/ Suspension

Transferring the power from the engine to the wheels is T-5 Transmission, built to handle up to 500 horsepower. A king Cobra clutch and pressure plate allow you to turn raw horse power into pure torque thrills. The torque and horsepower is carried to the axle by a custom built driveshaft. A Ford Fox body 8.8 rear axle with 3.73 G/2 gears installed lets this pony run without hesitation. All of the horsepower and torque is stabilized by AJE suspension. The front Mustang SN95 suspension is followed up by the rear 4 link set up. This suspension kit comes with heavy duty fabricated arms and adjustable Viking coil overs.

Brakes/ Wheel/ and Tires

Each corner of this magnificent car is equipped with Wilwood brakes. The slotted and drilled rotors, performance pads, and 6 piston calipers are controlled by the big Wilwood master cylinder mounted inside the engine compartment. These beautiful wheels were custom made by Boze, and are sure to catch any spectator's eye. We wrapped the Boze wheels in Nitto's NEO GEN ALL SEASON ULTRA HIGH PERFORMANCE tires, which are guaranteed to look good at the car show, or on the track.

Interior

As the door opens the first thing you notice are the MP Products injection molded door panels and machined aluminum door handle and window crank. As your eye scan to the driver's seat the Lokar pedal assembly illuminated by the pure white L.E.D interior lighting catches your eye. The steering wheel by Moto Lita is hand crafted in England, once your hands touch the wheel you instantly can feel the hours and hours spent handcrafting this premium product. Holding the steering wheel tall and true is an IDIDIT steering column, which updates the old lose and wobbly column. The seats by Corbeau give you the comfort of a bucket seat with the secure feeling you get from a racing seat. Paired with the seats are 2 point lap belts by Crow. Sitting in the driver's seat of this car is exhilarating, even without the car running. As you look through the steering wheel you can see the Dakota Digital custom gauge cluster. The radio head unit by Retrosound looks original, but don't let that fool you, it is as updated as the rest of the car. There are 8 Hertz speakers including 2 Hertz 10" subwoofers housed in a custom enclosure which was wrapped in black faux leather to match the rest of the interior panels. Throughout the entire vehicle we used high quality mass backed carpet from Auto Custom Carpet. This interior is a great mix of comfort, functionality, and class there is no comparison between this Mustang and the rest.

Exterior

Buckeye Classic Car Restoration put over 800 man hours into the body work and paint on this vehicle. We started with a Maier Racing fiberglass hood, bumpers, and accessories kit, which included upper and lower quarter scoops as well as the fins for the tops of the quarters and deck lid. These fiberglass panels were meticulously molded and body worked for superior fit and finish, and it shows from front to back. We spend the extra time perfectly aligning panels and gaps until the car is absolutely perfect. The front and rear glass were Frenched into their respective openings, this detail is routinely overlooked but adds a level of elegance most shops cannot execute. The paint on the car is a custom formulated tri stage Sikkens color. The color alone will be the talk of any car show. If you open and inspect the underside of the hood or deck lid you will notice a special marble paint we used to high light the bottom side of each. This marble paint adds, yet again, another level of attention to detail that you will not see anywhere else. The hood and deck lid are held open but Ring Brothers natural aluminum hinges with piston lift system.

Like the interior lighting the exterior lights had to be L.E.D. The taillight panel, which houses the L.E.D. taillights and brushed aluminum taillight bezels, was blacked out as a nod to the Eleanor mustang. The headlights by Grote are much brighter and clear than the original halogens.

As you can see this care was hand crafted and custom built with the highest of standards in mind. From the steering wheel to the tires, every piece was hand selected and customized to fit the application perfectly. The elegance of the interior, mixed with the sheer perfection of the exterior yields the highest possible results. Buckeye Classic Car Restoration in Canfield, Ohio put their all into the one of a kind car, if you let this one pass you will never get a chance to own one again.
