1966 Ford Mustang Convertible

I purchased this 1966 Mustang Convertible in North Carolina in 2012 as a "solid driver" with 81,500 original miles on it, then spent 3 1/2 years doing a COMPLETE restoration. The plan was to restore it for myself, so no expense was spared. First, we stripped the car completely down and had the entire body sandblasted. This was a Southern car so there was very little rust on it, which was limited to the rear floor pans which were cut out and replaced with quality floor pans. All frame rails, torque boxes, rocker panels, and the rest of the undercarriage are all original. Then we meticulously went through the entire car, and every part of the car, and if there was a blemish, that part was replaced with NOS parts when available, or quality aftermarket parts when NOS was not available. The entire underbody, interior floor, inside of the doors, underside of the fenders, and the entire engine compartment was then sprayed with POR-15, rust preventative paint, then the entire car was primed. The original 200 six cylinder engine was brought to a machine shop where it received a complete overhaul. Literally every piece of the convertible top frame was taken apart, sandblasted, primed and professionally painted with factory original black paint. The car was professionally sprayed its original Sauterne Gold color (it's more green than gold), the Pony Interior was reupholstered with high quality materials, the original Sprint air cleaner was re chromed, and the car was meticulously put back together. This is a numbers matching car that has been restored back to its original condition in every way possible. It was just appraised by New England Auto Appraisals for $34,000. Selling because I just bought a lake house and a boat, and have no time to drive the Mustang. This car is rock solid and is as good or better than when it left the dealer showroom in 1966. I also have the original owners manual.
