Description:

1979 Ford Ranchero GT

1979 FORD RANCHERO GT - Burgundy and Gold - excellent driver condition. The paint has a deep shine - the previous owner said this vehicle had a recent $8,000 paint job. Since buying this vehicle in June 2015 for $12,900, I've put another $4,000 init - which resulted inthe following improvements:
  • Had all four tires replaced with new Dunlop raised letter sport tires - less them 500 miles on them;
  • Purchased red Ford center caps and installed for all four wheels;
  • Bought a rim and new spare tire and jack as the vehicle was missing these items;
  • Had the fuel sending unit replaced;
  • Had the sport mirror adjusting knobs connected - so they adjust remotely;
  • Had the shock absorbers replaced;
  • Replaced the voltage regulator and alternator with a chrome single wire 110 amp alternator;
  • Replaced the ammeter with a digital volt meter;
  • Replaced the non-working temperature gauge in the instrument panel - but it's not hooked up as prior to that I installed a below dash temperature gauge - which is lighted and readablein low light;
  • Purchased a carpeted dash mat;
  • Inserted a battery operated analog clock in the insert where the non-working dash clock sits;
  • Replaced the windshield washer pump;
  • Replaced the starter solenoid and fuseable link;
  • Installed a new battery, new battery cables, and battery cut-off switch;
  • Replaced the steering wheel;
  • Replaced the turn signal switch and front turn signal sockets;
  • Purchased and had two rear bumper guards installed;
  • Purchased and installed four stainless steel tie downs for the bed;
  • Purchased and replaced some interior trim which was scratched and missing air vent vanes;
  • Installed LED lights so the courtesy lights come on when a door is open - the red spot on the floor of the driver's side in theone of the pictures is the beam of a red LED courtesy light;
  • Spent over $2,000 replacing critical air conditioner components (condenser, evaporator, dryer, belts & hoses) so that it blows cold now (R-134);
  • Installed a new fan and air conditioner shroud; and
  • Installed a new power steering pump.
  • Installed a mirror with backup camera, GPS, and dash camera capabilities.
