Description:

1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1

This is an original 69,300-mile Mach 1 that has been faithfully maintained and mechanically upgraded to top standards using the best-available parts at the time of replacement. It has always been kept indoors. All work has been performed by noted professionals in my area near Santa Cruz, California. I am the second owner of this beautiful car that I have owned since 2001. I have the original sales invoice from Crater Lake Motors in Medford, Oregon, as well as the original window sticker. Below you will find a link to a professional appraisal that set this car's value at $41,500 in January 2017.
In addition to the 351 Cleveland 4V engine, optional equipment at the time of sale on Jan. 5, 1970 was as follows: 4-speed manual transmission with Hurst shifter, Traction-Lok differential, 3.91:1 axle, shaker hood, power steering, power front disc brakes, tachometer and trip odometer.
The upholstery is original and in excellent condition. The dash also is excellent and is original with the exception of an Custom Autosound USA-1 radio and cassette player that currently is not working and custom wooden knobs. It has the same style window cranks.
The car's roof and rear panels were repainted by my local Ford dealer soon after I acquired the car, only because the original owner had screwed Dodge Charger gas caps on each side for looks (!!!##!) I had to do the roof and quarters for a perfect color match and blend. The body repair work is flawless where the screws were drilled into these beautiful new quarters. I know, unbelievable. Just full disclosure from me. The rest of the original paint is in very good condition as shown in the photos. There is no body damage. The chrome is original and in excellent shape.
This Mach 1 starts, idles, shifts and drives beautifully. This is a car that you will be proud to own and drive, just as I have. This is not a show car, but it could be with some TLC. It is a high-end driver that presents and preforms beautifully.
I have a folder full of receipts for these parts and work, but maybe not all that I have described. Following is the work I had completed on this fine automobile:

Engine

The original 351 Cleveland 4V 300 horsepower engine underwent a complete rebuild at 60,000 miles, everything upgraded and brand new, including modest .20-over boring and pistons (the appraisal says .30 over, which is incorrect), new low-lift cam, reground crank, new valves, valve springs, timing chain, clutch, resurfaced fly wheel, Edelbrock high-volume water pump, Modine high-flow radiator, MSD Pro-Billet distributor with MSD and Mallory electronic ignition, starter, alternator and belt (2016) and Interstate battery (2016).
