1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe Traditional Hot Rod.
The Gears, rease and Guitar Coupe!
ENGINE/TRANSMISSION: A 1965 Buick 401 Nailhead fitted with progressive Rochester 2gc tri power with vintage air cleaners. Stock distributer fitted with Pertronix ignition. Vintage finned valley cover, alve covers, nd plug wire covers. Custom made Lake style headers fitted with 4" stainless turnouts. Headers are also fitted with real mufflers not sheet metal and holes. Engine also cool assisted with electric push fan on a switch located under the dash. Water pump has universal 6 blade fan. Transmission is a Buick TH400.
CHASSIS: Frame is an original stock model A, oxed, 'd in the front 4" and stepped 16" in the rear with custom made cross member. Custom front spreader bar. ALL frame work done with TIG welds. Driveshaft was fitted with a conversion u-joint to fit the 1967 Ford Mustang 8" rear end with stock highway gears. Mustang steering box. Traditional buggy spring suspension with reverse eye front leaf and 4" drop Super Bell I-beam axle. New coil over shocks rear.
BRAKES: Chrome 1965 Chevelle master cylinder, 956 Ford pickup front drum brakes, 967 Ford Mustang rear drum brakes. Also has emergency brake.
BODY: Solid body that is nicely chopped 3 1/2". NOT channeled. All new lower patch panels were replaced during build. A new wood kid was installed in the body. Top was fitted with the roof from the 1965 Buick donor car. All sheet metal and chop work was TIG welded. Front grill shell is a vintage 1934 Ford Commercial Truck grill fitted with custom insert with vintage Pontiac Star Chief star emblems. Radiator is newer 4 core with the original tanks. Original Guide 682-c headlights. Tail lights are from a vintage 1949 Hudson shaved down to fit to the rear panel. Steering wheel and column are from a 1975 Malibu. Custom made stainless steel brake and gas pedal. Custom made step drilled stainless shifter. Body has full glass and functioning door windows and the windshield slides "A/C" work great.
PAINT: Matt White with almost 20 years of patina. Original pin striping.
INTERIOR: Black and white seat. Black with gold accent door, ick and quarter panels. The metal seat wrap was the rear seat from a vintage 1934 Chevrolet Sedan sectioned to fit the "A" Coupe. Seat cushion was fitted from newer van seat foam. Seat belts installed that tuck nicely behind the seat cushion when not in use. Rare 1934 International dash fitted with BEEDE 5" speedo and cluster gauge. Custom made 15 gallon gas tank mounted behind the seat with the filler neck in the trunk. Tank also fitted with vent and roll over valve. New Interstate battery mounted in the trunk with a power cut off switch.
TIRES: New Blackwall Firestone 8.20 - 15 rear and Firestone 5.60 - 15 front. Original 1950's Olds hub caps.

It won first place in the World of Wheels Car Show! This is one Crazy Cool Coupe! No trades! But would consider a partial trade for a 1932 Ford frame or chassis. I am starting a new Project!
