Solid, ll steel body is clean and straight. Finished in Torch Red. Very unique chopped top. The roof is actually two halves of the roof from a Volvo station wagon, ustom fit to the cab. This gives the hot rod a one of a kind look. Meticulous body work was done. Even though the top, s well as the paint, as done years ago, here is no cracking, hrinkage, ubbling, r popping. The finish still maintains a glossy shine. There are a few typical mars and chips from driving and showing, ut overall the paint is in very good shape. Rear wheel wells are finished in Torch Red gravel guard. There is one rub mark that is visible in the photos in the rear driver side wheel well. A set of larger rear tires were originally mounted, ut did not fit. There is one slight bump in the body work on the roof, ust above the windshield wiper at the drip rail. This a solid bump, ot a paint or rust bubble. I don’t know what it is, ut it appears stable. Solid mount windshield. Tinted glass all the way around. Glass is in very good shape, o cracks or major scratches. Dual billet sport mirrors. Single windshield wiper. Correct headlamps. Coolamp tail lights with blue dot lenses. Headlights and tail lights work. Brake lights work. Third brake light. Turn signals work, nd are custom fit into the front and rear nerf bars. Door gaps are consistent. Volkswagen door handles. Vintage Cragar S/S five spoke wheels. Standard width on the front, ider on the rear. P225/60R14 radial tires on the front. BF Goodrich Drag Radials on the rear, 275/35R17.

Also included in this deal are fiberglass front and rear fenders, ood,(all painted body color) and original wood running boards. In the current configuration, he rear fenders and running boards could probably be mounted. However, ith the engine setback and suspension configuration, he front fenders won’t fit. Also, he hood will fit over an unblown engine, ut not the blower engine that is currently in the car.

NOTE: Like most street rods back in the day, he original identification numbers were stamped on the frame and engine. In the old days, itles were reissued without vin numbers on the cars, ecause engines were changed and frames replaced or boxed. Laws changed through the years. In 1988, roper procedure for Illinois was followed to update the status of the vehicle. The car was inspected by the National Street Rod Association, nspection sticker applied, nd tag displaying original VIN number affixed to firewall. Vehicle is legal, ith clean, lear Illinois title that has been transferred in the past. The same procedure is followed today with new street rod builds, xcept the police now assign a Secretary of State (SOS) vin number. NSRA inspection sticker still affixed to windshield. Illinois is one of the more strict states as to titling street rods, o I assume this car would be street legal in all 50 states. However, f you live in a state that has odd titling and inspection laws, heck with your DMV before buying the car.

This street rod is aggressively priced for immediate sale. You won’t find a build of this quality anywhere at this price. This is a great opportunity for a street rodder. Remember, his car has been mostly in storage over the years, ith some exercise each year. Could use some minor undercarriage detail work, leaning and polishing. It would probably be prudent to give the car a once over, aybe checking torque on items such as oil pan, rans pan, eader bolts, tc. before taking off on a long run. This car needs a new owner that will get in a cruise with this car. It was built to drive!
