1969 Ford Mustang

Greetings, I have my 69 Mach 1 listed for auction. I bought this car about eight years ago where it had been stashed in a pole barn in Georgia for the past 20 plus years. The car was rough when I bought it but spent four years in a complete restoration. New floor pans, rear lower quarter panels along with inner fender wells. It was chemically striped on the outside body and bottom side to bare metal. Cleaned with Acetone at that point. I replaced the floor pans because they had thousands of pin holes from setting so long. After all body work was completed I sprayed the entire car with a 2K primer and after that the block sanding started I can't tell how many hours of block sand was done accept a lotI then painted the underside with Eastwood frame satin black Before I painted the car I added Complete new suspension front to rear. I lowered the car two inches with professional cut front coil springs and rear lowering blocks. The wheels are spaced out inch and half rear and one inch front with professional wheel spacers easy to remove if not desired. All new glass front windshield rear window and side glass with a 30 percent tint. All new weather stripping on entire car and no air or water leaks. The inside of the cars floor was covered with Eastwood heat and sound deadener the best that Eastwood sells. New interior carpet, headliner, door panels and TMI seat covers with all new foam rubber. The front bucket seats from TMI are a nice wrap around bucket with Mach 1 design. Engine was completely rebuild when I bought the car but never installed. I removed the heads and found brand new fresh 30 over pistons. I removed the heads to assure the engine was fresh. I installed a Comp Cam Energy cam for better gas mileage and little more torque. The transmission is a FMX automaticthat I had completely rebuilt. The underside of the car is almost as clean as the outside. I installed stainless steel gas line, brake lines, and complete stainless steel dual exhaust from engine exhaust manifold to rear bumper. Nice Flowthrow mufflers. New bumpers and all outside emblems. Car has less then 150 miles on it since I completed it. Car runs smooth no rattles or vibrations. I did install a cheap radio with plans to update but never got that far Radio works and the speakers have been custom fitted to rear seat side panels. . I have been restoring classic Corvettes and Mustangs for over forty years. I was wounded in Vietnam and drive with hand controls which can be seen in last picture. Easy to remove and do not interfere with driving car with feet. If someone that uses hand controls were to buy the car the hand controls go with it if not I'll remove them. The reason this car only has less then 150 miles since completed is because I bought a 63 Corvette and am finishing the restoration on that car at the present. When I bought the Corvette I promised my wife I would sell either the Mach 1 or Vette once I had the Vette completed I know that I need to keep the Corvette although its not a numbers matching car, its still a Corvette There are a lot ofcandy apple red Mach 1 for sale and that is one reason I lowered the car two inches and added the 30 percent tinted glass just to give it a little different look from the stock stance. The engine also is equipped with a MSD ignition that really makes an engine run a lot better then any stock ignition. Front brakes are disc rear drum. I never hooked the emergency brake up because I didn't have the hardware which was missing when I bought the car. Therefore the emergency brake red light is on when engine running. I added a portioning brake valve on the firewall drives side that is adjustable to how ever you like the brakes to work.. I am certified by Bloomington Gold Corvettesin Corvette restoration ( if you never heard of Bloomington Gold Corvettes ) pleasegoogle it and you'll understand. I will try to answer any and all questions if I can. Car is located in northern Illinois. It has been kept inside a dry heated garage since finished. The guy who installed the interior forgot to put the flatvinyl cover over thebucket seats on the back side as seen in some what blurry picture. The wiper motor works but no wiper blades were ever installed. I have a large zip lock baggiefilled withrecites on this car. Car holds 60 lbs oil pressure on start up as shown. Drops to about 35 lbs once warmed up. This is an original matching number car. The tilt steering wheel was taken out and replaced with a stock 69 Mustang steering column. The car isn't perfect like no car really is. These cars were assemble line production so fender, doors trunk hood didn't have the best looking gaps. I have tried my best to get all the gaps as close to perfect as I could. I think it looks pretty good.Winning bidderisresponsible for pick up and shipping charges. Will help as much as I can though.I sure hope I gave ya'll enough info and thanks for looking. This is a sweet running car and anyone interested and would likemore information just send me an Ebay message and I will give you my phone number. My wounds from Vietnam have now confined me to a wheelchair but I still am able to work on these great classic cars and will until I can no longer do it. I am 73 years of age and still going strong. Using a wheel chair makes it very difficult for me to get in and out of the Mach 1. The car is for sale via news paper and word of mouth so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime.. Its not completely perfect but is in show quality condition. Again thanks for looking and good luck if you decide to bid. Any bidders with very low feedback ( ten feedbacks or less ) or any negative feedback I will just cancel your bid unless you ask for my phone number so I can get your phone number and address. We all know and have seen cars relisted after being sold because seller never hears fromwinning bidder and I don't need that type of hassle and those of you who are classic car lovers I am sure no other explanation is required. not interested in any trades. Thanks for looking..
